Everyone is talking about the Heels good defense, well your defense is only good as your offense. If the offense is going 3 and out over and over...and turning the ball over then you'll be put in bad spots. I think thats eventually what happened to the Heels last week. I think it happens again this week. But I think its going to be extremely ugly.

I think they see a high line and figure NC is competive enough to hang around...I see it as Thursday night in Blacksburg where everything seems to go the Hokies way. The Tarheels Offense is terrible, I mean absolutely terrible...TO get shut down by an invisable D like Florida St last week shows they cannot move the football even against one of the worse defensive teams in college this year...NC is in trouble tonight against an agressive attacking Va Tech D, they will be lucky to get to double digits tonight..

The only thing UNC has going for them is their D. They played hard against FSU's offense and finally the Seminoles cracked through and exposed some holes..The only question will be if VTech can do so because this is the one area they lack consistancy in..I think being at home will make it easier to come by tonight and they should be able to hang 35 on the Heels..I just do not think this North Carolina team is good. Tech at home coming off a hard loss, look for Beamer Ball to strike once again..

By the way I&#x27;m playing the Hokies small -16.5 (1) but I just don&#x27;t get all the love for Heels.  Figured it would be 50/50 tonight, like Tuesday.  Tuesday everyone seemed to be on Memphis I thought an overwhelming amount of people would have been on ECU.  Just can&#x27;t figure out the love.

i jumped ships from UNC to VT, i watched some of UNC's games and they don't look impressive at all, and to score on FSU, well, FSU has no D! VT will have D and O, I have to go with the stronger team that will give them trouble at both ends.

I don&#x27;t think tonight is going to be any different with the Heels.  The defense might play intense for a little while.  That will all run out if the offense keeps going 3 and out.  That Heels defense will be really tired tonight..I may be wrong, I may be right.  I just don&#x27;t see anyway or anyhow you can take the Tarheels.  They have no playmakers what so ever on the offensive side of the ball.  Nobody that can change the game in the kicking game in my opinion.  I think Virginia Tech runs them over...

Went&#xD;&#xA;Spreads 22-19 &#x2B;45 units&#xD;&#xA;O/U&#x27;s 8-8 &#x2B;12 units&#xD;&#xA;2 Team Teasers 5-2 &#x2B;31 units&#xD;&#xA;4 Team Teasers push&#xD;&#xA;36-30 overall with a total of &#x2B;88 units. So now we will get onto tonights game.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA; Tonight we have in my opinion 2 totally opposite teams in all aspects of the game. First lets look at North Carolina. So they have dominated the likes of Georgia Southern, Citadel and ECU. What do these 3 have in common? The defenses are absolutely horrid. Ok so they have one descent win and its nothing to brag about over UCONN which was a 12-10 game. So lets look at their loses. First one we will look at is Florida State. A team that i picked to win the game last week and in all honestly V.T would put this team through the ground and i dont want to hear N.C was killing them, Yeah WAS and like i stated last week this North Carolina team cannot put teams away and they didnt. Next we will look at Virginia, this team can play some defense but the offense is not to good but managed to beat this Carolina team by 13. And last i wanna look at G.T. Every week in these games especially during the week i look for teams that are similiar to the teams that are about to play that has already loss to or beat the team in question. Well folks we have a winner. G.T and V.T are very similiar in speed, agility and are closer than you can imagine to each other which G.T beat this V.T team at G.T by 5. So now we have a North Carolina team that went on the road to G.T. and manage to lose by 17 and i watched that game and this was one of G.T&#x27;s worse games of the year offensively and yet still manage to pull off a 17 point win. Now lets look at V.T&#x27;s games. Well folks the more i look at this schedule the more impressed i am. Can you tell me one team they have played that are not at least respectable within their own conferences. They have 1 loss at home and it was to the #1 team in the country by 10 and another loss like i said on the road to G.T by 5. Other games include a win on the road over duke by 8 on the road,a beat down of Boston College by 24 at HOME, another beat down of Miami by 24 at HOME, a Marshall team that quiet honestly has not played all that bad this year and beat them by 42 at HOME. The only close win they had at home was Nebraska which was by 1. The fact is folks this Virginia Tech team is coming off a bye and a loss. That is not a good combination for and opponent when they have to come play this team at HOME. The special teams are gonna come out in full force tonight and i see at least one blocked punt, a blocked FG, and a kickoff return for a TD. The problem that North Carolina is gonna have even if they manage to get a couple turnovers at best they come away with field goals. The simple fact is North Carolina plays bad on the road and Virginia Tech is a home beast. So all in all i cant see this game even staying remotely close.With that said GL this week and i will be taking &#xD;&#xA;V.T -16 (10 units)&#xD;&#xA;Over 43 (5 units)&#xD;&#xA;2 Team Teaser -10 and over 37 (15 units)&#xD;&#xA;Final Score Prediction 34-12Only cause you told me to buddy.

I do because I think they are going to have a huge advantage in field position in this game.  Huge...The only way North Carolina covers this game, is if they can establish a decent running game and really limit their 3 and outs otherwise I could see Va Tech hanging 40 or so on them.  I think they will be attacking Yates and force him to make mistakes this game could be extremely ugly.

i like the over best because i think the special teams for both teams will have goo d nights allowing socring opportunities, other than that i would lean NCAR only because more was expected of them this year and they want to challenge tonight

Some good points but thats kinda outrageous to predict don't ya think. I think they get a block punt or a pick 6 tonight but all of that I don't know. If they do then I will think your a psychic of some sort. Actually fairly decent write up...Good Luck tonight buddy

I think its a matter of which threads you open cause, I too was on ECU and thought the consensus was close but leaning ECU.

I think tonight its more high spread, than anything else. I too thought the VT on Thursday night love would drive the line up. When it dropped I took it at +16.

For me, I fall into that catagory that if UNC doesnt hurt themselves, their run D will keep it close. UNC gets hurt by the pass, and I'll take my chances against Taylor chucking the ball all over the field.

I havent seen too many UNC ML plays. Just one from a fairly respectable capper on this board.

More was expected from Illinois and they haven&#x27;t challenged anybody.  That rationale isn&#x27;t a good way to look at it.  I agree that North Carolina&#x27;s defense is pretty good and could keep them in the game.  I just think that offense and defense go hand in hand.  If North Carolina is punting the whole game the defense will tire out.  So you can only rely on a defense for so long.  They are good, but they aren&#x27;t good enough to completely carry the team.  Virginia Tech can dink and dunk, run the ball right down the field tonight in my opinion.  If Yates can manage to have a good game, which I see no way in hell then I think they keep it close.  Thats the only way.  Unless Virginia Tech turns the ball over a bunch, which is definitely a possibility but UNC&#x27;s defense wasn&#x27;t very impressive to me in that facet of the game, causing turnovers that is.  So I just don&#x27;t see it.

The Bengals were playing at KC...Jared Allen was on the team the KC squad at the time.  I remember it vividly I placed the bet the Bengals were like -3 and in a matter of an hour our two they were like 2 point dogs.  I knew I was fucked.  A point here or a point there doesn&#x27;t bother me sometimes, I think they do it to play with your mind a little bit, so I don&#x27;t factor it in too too much.  Who is on UNC ML?

vt will be hungry after a tough loss to gt. they need to make a statement with 2 losses now. unc second half was terrible against fsu. they couldn't score against a weak defense. I can see a 34-10 game in favor of vt tonight.
