This...is one of the silliest threads ever.. On a WAGERING forum.....all you can do is talk shit.....?
Sooner homers.....have you not watched....or bet on OU away fromNorman last few years? > they're 8-7 SU......5-9-1 ATS.....and 4-9 ATS if favored......shit talk material?
Have you taken .....even a second.....to check out Fla St?....or just continue to watch LY's game?...OVER AND OVER
FSU Offense no good ? LY ranked #28 at 6.0/play.....OU #55 at 5.6 rushing #28 at 4.8/rush.....OU #106 at 3.3 3rd down #15.....OU #33 NOTE : FSU faced schedule of nations 4th toughest D's....OU 17th * Ponder banged up all year so I wouldn't expect QB play to be down much at all....Manuel has proven he can play in pressure situations already...MVP of 2009 Gator Bowl playing hurt
this should be the toughest team Sooners have faced (AWAY).....since '09 Horns.....other maybe '09 Nebraska this FSU D won't be as good as either of those...but not too far behind....(OU lost both).....I give OU credit for ONE quality win in 2 years (15 games)....2010 over Okie St 47-41....as a 2' pt DOG... UConn weak....Baylor off Aggies / OSU / Texas.....later exposed as frauds by the Zookster
Sooners should be awesome offensively sure ....but now lose 4 great players from fairly average D (with loss of Lewis).....AND now.... maybe gonna lose one more.. as eligibility of DE Ronnell Lewis is in fairly serious question (announced later this week)
the " win one for Austin" theme....is effectively cancelled out ....by FSU's .....as Fisher's 6 yr old son has a potentially fatal blood disorder..
Unless Manuel looks absolutely horrible 1st 2 weeks....getting points ...(Sooners ranked #1) ..I will hammer FSU here.....with smaller amount on the ML....
It is better to be feared - than to be loved.

I like the way Manuel is hesitating and slow to make decisions in the pocket while staring down his receivers......and this is against poor competition....
Then on top of that he puts up lots of floaters......Say what you want about OU's D.....they are fast and athletic.....while Landry Jones will be drilling ropes to the best receiver corp in the country with accuracy comparable to Bradford....
After 2 weeks this game has now become a mismatch while coming into the season most thought it would be competitive....Sooner D will feast on Manuel.....and Jones will pick apart Nole secondary.

FSU was playing vanilla on offense and defense if you want to judge them based on the first 2 games that is a big mistake.

I mean what is wrong with some these people on this board. Teams DO NOT SHOW much before huge September showdowns. There is a reason they schedule gimme games or have bye weeks before these type of games. Geez

Def the "Game of the week" to watch. Perhaps even the "Game of the Month to watch" I just don't see any value in betting this game other than getting some "action". You got a loaded Oklahoma team that has had a week off going on the road into an insane stadium during the night. FSU has had a amazing recruiting class and should be prepared to face a talented but inconsistent Oklahoma road team. Much better games on the board. GL.

FSMU will not win a NC anytime soon, they lost 4 games last year and I have never seen a fanbase happier.. That shows you what they are now and where they are, mediocre..
Might be the most astute comment I've seen yet in this thread......FSU happy to be mediocre again............BTW....anybody mention that Sooners have Noles number......5-0 since 1970......3 Orange Bowls and then last year's absolute shutout thumping in a Nat'l Champ game.
So how far has Florida State fallen since that January 3, 2001 loss to Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl? It doesn't took too pretty:
Have played in 3 BCS bowl games during past nine years and lost all 3, the last in 2005
Only 1 10-win seasons (2003)
The longest win streak is 6 in 2004
The highest AP final ranking is 11th in 2003
FSU has lost 42 games in the past nine seasons
Three 7-6 records during the past four years
Versus Top 10 teams, a dismal 6-11 W-L record
Versus Top 25 teams, a miserable 13-19 W-L record

Cmon......FSU got thumped last year by OU by more than 4 tds with a QB drafted in the 1st round of the NFL.....and replaced him with a QB that seems a bit slow upstairs who throws a very nice floater.....at least those OU defenders with no depth will think it's a very nice floater....btw consensus is this OU D with no depth is better than 2010...
And you can talk all day about Landry Jones....the same Landry Jones who will be in New York for the Heisman presentation...
Funny....I've mentioned now 3 times Manuel throws a floater and haven't yet seen any denials....
