Week 3 Oklahoma @ Florida St

This is the scariest game on the Sooner schedule. I can see OU winning this game by 10 plus and then I can see them choking. I don't think they will have the road woes that everybody is concerned about. Their last 3 games of the season they beat 3 top 25 teams on the road. Playing at night against a drunk rowdy crowd could spell disaster. The way to beat a good team at night on the road is to have an experienced QB. Which Landry Jones has 25 career starts and has played in big games. He won't get rattled. How will EJ Manual fair? Will he get rattled? He's got 6 career starts with a 4-2 record. In my opinion he's the difference in this game. If he gets rattled FSU has no chance. As a Sooner fan it gets no better than this. What a hell of a game to look forward too. I can't wait.

First- this is incorrect..

Second- please don't say you think UCONN is one of those top 25 teams that they beat on a neutral field?

Third- They beat Nebraska on a neutral field, not on the road

Fourth- to summarize, OU won @ 6-7 Baylor, @Okie State, vs. Nebraska and vs. UCONN- not exactly murders row..

The FSU game will be OU's toughest test by far in Jones' tenure..

Yes OU's last 4 games were away from Norman. They beat a bowl team in Baylor. They beat # 10 OSU, # 13 Nebraska, and # 25 UCONN.

FLORIDA ST. WILL NOT BE LANDRY JONES TOUGHEST OPPONENT. THE 2009 TEXAS TEAM IS HIS TOUGHEST OPPONENT. TEXAS WON THIS GAME AND WENT ON TO PLAY IN THE NATIONAL TITLE GAME. I WOULD ALSO PUT THE DEFENSES FROM THE 2009 AND 2010 NEBRASKA TEAMS AGAINST THIS YEARS FLORIDA ST. DEFENSE.

Yeah I agree with you that OU struggled on the road in 2009 and the 1st part of 2010. I don't think they will struggle this year. Part of the reason why teams struggle on the road is due to QB issues. Landry Jones has 25 starts now. He's 8-3 against top 25 teams. He played awfully well late in in the season last year. He beat # 10 OSU on the road at night the last game of the season. The offense will be awesome. They will be much improved in special teams, defense and offense. I know FSU will be much improved, but I think they are a year or 2 away from being really good.

I think you're wrong there Jwheels. Florida St. will have a beast of a team the next few years. I don't think they are quite there yet this year but next year they will be really good. The recruiting job Jimbo Fischer has done is unbelievable. The ACC power shift from Va Tech to FSU is definitely in-progress.

I for one, would not be shocked if FSU won this year but I don't think they will.

OU is loaded, FSU is rebuilding.
