Here's a question....
Last week you were all over Clemson / L'Ville predicting that Clemson would layeth the smacketh down and cover the 40 point spread.
This week, we see Michigan favored by essentially the same 40 points against Rutgers. Way different styles and that's reflected in a much lower O/U.
The game is similar in that both Clemson & Michigan want to make a statement to the committee that they are a stud team. Clemson made that statement, presumably Michigan would want to do similar.
Is the question...is making a "statement to the committee" the key to the #4/#5 Michigan's season? Will Michigan play outside of their comfort zone to put a whoopin on to make that statement?
I dont know if Im saying all this right...I like Michigan to absolutely stomp a bad Rutgers team & they have the D to pitch a shut out, but I could just as easily see them winning 31-0 as 63-0....thus the question, do they need to "make a statement"?

How do you make a statement to the committee when you’re already ranked in top 4 & you’re playing a team that everyone blows out, you can win 38-0, 51-0 or 65-0 & none of that will leave a different impression when playing Rutgers
Now if you win 27-20 then that raises eyebrows , I think Jim runs & runs & runs & his defense most likely pitches a shutout, Rutgers couldn’t score on Buckeyes & Mich defense much superior to Ohio St
they should cover but I won’t be betting it
even though they are playing the worst cupcake, just look at their offense numbers on the road, now you have to depend on them to win by more than 40
they prob cover but this one is not for me
.

Fresno definitely better than Boise but it’s been a while since they’ve played any real teams , the loss at Minnesota still lingers in my mind even though it’s week 1
I think you bet Fresno or nothing in the game but it’s not a game I’d advise going big on, a few turnovers & the blue turf comes alive
Fresno most likely wins & covers the number

You mention you would not bet big on Fresno St. at Boise that’s very logical to me I usually don’t bet these road fav. Big either because there are to many reasons this could backfire but are you liking OU big ? I have a problem betting big on bad defenses as well as road Favs. Sorry for the rant and thanks for your input.

Impatience paid off, now at -20 and climbing. I think I'm gonna ride the Cowboys myself... the voices in my head (or maybe it was the radio) said the Man Who Is 40 is really good off a loss, plus that 3 TD's in a rivalry game against a team allergic to tackling is pretty sweet

Rivalry aspect is exactly why I’ve advised anyone that tails my stuff to go small , generally value with dog in rivalry but I think Sooners put on a show
Speaking of tackling allergy, I have inside info of Benadryl being included in lunch kits this week

Normally a great spot for Gary but this version of TCU is a special kind of mediocre & allergic to scoring (no Benadryl in Ft Worth)
