Week 1 Money

Good luck this year wahoos.  I am of the mind of just being honest when I post my picks.  Post what I play and let the rest sort it out.  People could always ask you if you would still play the game at the current number.  I don't understand why people slam other people for doing good work and getting good lines which is more than half the battle in this sports betting gig.  Instead, maybe they should stop and ask themselves how they can improve at getting better numbers.  Nah, that would be looking in the mirror instead of pointing a finger.

Quite frankly, I don't respect very many opinions on this site ( and for good reason ) but I certainly do yours.

I have already bet Texas as well.

Curious, how do you think the Johnson resignation effects the dores in that NW game?  The unknown in that regard along with a concern of Persa filling kafka's shoes left me with a different take on that game.

I can certainly understand your concerns with Northwestern laying points on the road, I think the QB change is okay, I think the Northwestern defense will cause a few turnovers from that miserable Vanderbilt offense, just my opinion, I like NW by a couple touchdowns in this game, should be a lower scoring 27-10 type of game, once again, just my opinion

I have 1 bet made, Minny +4.5.  @ 5Dimes. I heard a rumor on Covers that the MTSU QB was under police investigation. I liked Minny anyway and jumped on the 4.5 no matter. I was surprised to get it.  Today the line is 3.5 .  Lets see how that works out but my thought was I liked Minny in that game anyway and it seems the rumor has some affect on the line.

I think Covers is a great place to hear maybe a little truth on these teams.  Thats why I watch it.

Clemson is a huge lean for me.  Thoughts?  I see the Sub  Belt team throwing  and losing and running and getting stuffed and not scoring at all. Clemson beating the dog out of them cause they have big bad ass better players.  No. Tx. may score a TD. That's it.

I'm a N.Tx. fan but this game is a give up.  No chance. I take Clemson at the -23 but waiting.  Not waiting long.

one of my guys was nice enough to let me upgrade at a good line on Texas but I would still like as a large play at 28 or less and still bet them at anything under 31, I bet the Utah ML after the line dropped again today, got such a good price that I couldn't pass it up

I missed the boat on a good line in the Kansas State game which really pisses me off, but I just couldn't bet that many games early this year without knowing injury reports or suspensions

still could drop Clemson (not quite sure, got a friend who will happily purchase the line I got)

still looking into UGA, Mich St, Notre Dame, FLA,Ore,Marsh, Maryland

and before anyone asks me why Texas is "Large" money, let me answer

-look at the recent history in the series

-I like the UT QB just as much as McCoy, he looks very good now

-the Texas defense is going to smother Rice (they won't get to 10)

-the Rice defense is terrible no matter how you look at it, how is Texas not gonna get to at least 38?
