didn't have a good year last year, barely over 50% and lost a little loot for the season, that isn't going to happen this year, things will be back to normal with many of us winning instead of losing, I have taken a little different approach with preparing for this year as I think a handicapper must adjust, one thing I have decided to do is add my "Large Money" wagers back in my regular posts, another thing I will not do is post what lines I bet for each game, it is no secret that I'm a line person and seem to get the better end on most lines, I get weary of fighting off people in threads each year who don't know the meaning of line shopping and I don't feel the need to explain myself, I will not keep a posted record either, at least not publicly, someone else is more than welcome to do those things if they so choose, I'm gonna post who I'm betting on in each game and the forum members can do what they choose with that information, as usual I will have standard plays and Large Money plays, all plays are standard unless noted otherwise, I have bet several games thus far and will be posting them shortly, best of luck as always, I think this will be a great year for the forum, we have some very smart guys and many of them have already starting posting (I have enjoyed reading their information)

the games I have bet early are big teams vs little teams with bigger spreads, August injuries aren't as much a factor in those games, teams I'm looking to add with smaller spreads might include
Northwestern, Kansas St, Utah

good luck this year WahooS. My Horns are usually good to play early on---with the new under center offense and 3 new lineman, might be a little slower out of the gate, so the lower number makes sense. I may post up a thread about our chances this year, but our weakness on defense is at DT, and therefore teams that can run it up the gut well. Rice can't do that of course

BOL....Like Clemson and your NW lean....I might be the only one but I may have to take a flier on the Owls if the spread keeps climbing vs. Texas
where would you expect the Rice points to come from? that is what I would ask to a Rice backer, not saying Texas is a sure thing by any means, but they should be able to score 40 or so on the Owls, if that happens then I feel safe with the Horns defense containing the Owls offense

Definitely haven't made a play yet, I just think Texas has A LOT of question marks. Now those question marks still have highly touted players but it's early in the year. I think Rice will have their best team in a long time. Not saying they can even come close to beating Texas, but a 42-17 game is totally possible and if I can get over 30pts i'll probably make at least a small play on the owls. now that i say that it'll probably be a 56-3 game :)

It would? .....OK not going to call you out too much cause I like your posts, but the last I checked 42-17 is a 25 point difference, and the spread has been in in 28-29 range and I said I would like the 30 to feel more comfortable with a small wager on the owls. So if it was 42-17 Texas does not cover
