So West Virginia puts up over 500+ yards on LSU, but Stanford or Boise or OSU has NO chance of moving the ball on them?

Thats the reasoning why we need to see LSU and Alabama again? Didnt LSU already prove they're better???

Not sure if its been mentioned but OU being ranked ahead of Oregon is an absolute joke. Oregon fell way down after being defeated by LSU on a neutral field. OU getting beaten by a 4 td dog at home at night and being ranked 6th is an outright joke. Even Arkansas, an SEC team, having only lost to Bama is ranked behind OU. 

Oregon lose to lsu drop 10 spots.
Bama lose to lsu, at home, drop one spot

BCS is a pathetic joke.

I'd like to see LSU play Stanford. Who wants to see LSU paly bama again AT HOME (basically) when they just beat them IN BAMA...

no doubt that sec IS the premier conference and the media makes sure everyone knows. There is definitely bias when it comes to the SEC but I for one think that they deserve rankings due to the toughness of their conference top to bottom. But I think if Stanford beats Oregon , they will leap frog the Tide in the next polls. Okie St.  will NOT be there after playing the Sooners so if Stanford wins their games they WILL play in the NC game.

A few people here said they haven't seen a workable playoff system put out there. What's so difficult about working a playoff other than the fact that most school presidents, various trustees & bowl committee's don't want it to happen for selfish reasons. Every NCAA  sport has a playoff & every division of football has anywhere from a 16 team to a 24 team playoff in place. Top 16 teams play using a 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15 matchup system. They play the 15 games from the 2nd week of December through New Year's when all the universities are on a month long X-mas break.

They could use some mid level bowls for the first round & the Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, Cotton, Gator & Outback for the quarters through the Final on some sort of rotation. The minor bowls would still exist for the next 16-20 teams that get left out of the playoff. The only thing complicated about this is the fact that money would be changing hands from where it goes now in some cases & that is the bone & only reason there isn't a playoff. Very simple!

I will ask you a question, OP. I bet you can't answer.

Before the game, Alabama was ranked #2, right?

So, if the number #2, loses to the #1 team, why would they need to be dropped at all?
Please explain your answer with logic.

If everyone agreed that they were the two best teams before the game, what does them playing, have to do with them not being the two best teams.

Correct. The presidents don't want to lose their week long trips to resorts and the guy who runs the bowl that makes 500k a year, doesn't want to lose that gig. It has nothing to do with working or not working. There are about 30 presidents blocking it and Jim Delaney, because he knows that the Big 10 can't compete in a playoff.

The Big 10 has gotten two teams into the BCS every year except 04 since 2002. Anybody here think they deserved it? He doesn't want to lose that 17 million a year for his conference.

Also doesnt Oregon have the same arguement as Alabama as their ONLY LOSS IS TO LSU and they are ranked 7th.

boom, love your stuff, just wanted to tell you keep it up. As for my input on this, i'm tired of hearing how bama stillthinks they are the better team etc etc. If this game was at LSU, game woulda been over by half time. Sure everyone has their opinions on teams, but i've been on lsu from game 1 this year. Their defense is ridiculous and while many may not think they are a great team,  they must respect that they are the best team in college football right now. No one is scoring on that defense, not even Boise who i keep hearing everyone wants to see play in the bcs bowl.

It is all about the media and money.... You guys don't have no idea of how much money everyone making.. They don't care who is number 1 or 2.. They want money money money... This is how it works.. A rematch against lsu n Alabama will bring over a billion dollar... Billion not million, you think they care about ranking????? I want a rematch myself so I can win or lose more money... Nothing in this country is fare..
