This is where it's about to get embarassing for you Tappy......... Dre Kirk is maybe the top DB in NCAA........ and he needed MAJOR help covering Ruben.
Did you watch the game?.......... I've watched it 4 times......... 2 Guys on Ruben plus safety help.
LSU did the same thing to us last season with Julio... It's a common defensive strategy against a good receiver lol... The point is, and this is why this keeps getting more embarrassing for you each time you post, WE HELD LSU TO 91 YARDS PASSING AND TWO INT'S. WE TOOK ONE OF YOUR QB'S, WHO WAS THE TOP QB IN THE SEC OUT OF THE GAME. WE HELD YOUR TOP RECEIVER TO 19 YARDS, WHICH WAS HIS LOWEST OUTPUT ALL SEASON. OUR OFFENSE PUT UP 199 YARDS, AND OUR QB ONLY HAD ONE INT. The case for our secondary in that game is made.... Yes we got out physicalled at the line of scrimmage, yes lsu ran better, yes lsu had better special teams, yes lsu had better coaching, and yes lsu won the game! Happy?

Have you ever seen the LSU secondary have to double a receivber at scrimmage???????
Think not.
They had to last season, against Julio... And they haven't faced a legit receiving threat this season they would have to do that to? So what's your point?

EVERY SINGLE one of them are comfy in solo coverage.
Yet they got Dre Kirk and "company" all crowded on Ruben?????
Well that is because Alabama doesn't have one single legit receiving threat dumbass... That is more to do with the offense than the defense I can promise you, if we had Julio this season, you would be double covering him, AGAIN.You're an idiot...

I understand that SOS would determine, b/c of the system. I guess my point was; You would have 3 undefeated teams in LSU, Stanford and OK State, thus leaving one out of Championship game.
My point was; Boom's thread being about a fucked up system. If the above happened and somebody would be on the outside looking in, much like what happened to Auburn.. it would be pretty sad...
It probably won't happen, as OK State could easily lose, as well as Stanford to Oregon.. but damn. If they were all undefeated.. and only one gets to play... talk about a screwed up system... not that we all don't know it's fucked up anyway...

Probably because Stanford has also, played no one...
I love how people think that Bama's and LSU's offenses suck. No one developed these opinions until this weekend. I wonder why? Probably because the two defenses of these teams, would make ANY OFFENSE IN THE NATION LOOK BAD! Including Stanford's. Bama/LSU would easily out physical their offensive, and defensive fronts, and their secondaries would make a joke out of those receivers, sorry. There is a reason these guys are projected NFL draft prospects.
what exactly is "out physical". i've heard moron analysts on espn use that phrase before but it makes no sense. physical is an adjective

Are we here for an English lesson? Can you really not read between the lines, and understand what I am trying to say, or are you so stupid that I have to explain this to you?

I'm as against the rematch as you are, but it's hard to knock a team too far down for an overtime loss against the #1 team in the country. If they'd lost by 10 and the media decided Bama must stay at #3 to fit the narrative, it'd be worth yelling and screaming over. But right now, it's pretty reasonable to keep Alabama high (it's debatable how high, but it's reasonable to keep them high). An overtime game shows two teams are pretty even.
I highlighted the key words. They shouldnt play in the NC game unless only LSU goes undefeated (not counting Houston).

I've still never heard anyone come up a completely well thought out playoff system. And yes, no way Alabama should be ranked ahead of any undefeated team from a BCS conference.

Damn got to this thread late- have to agree with Boom about everything except why the hate for the SEC? They are not nearly as strong the last couple of years from top to bottom but continue to have good teams at the top. It is going to be impossible to be totally objective as long as the SEC keeps putting out National championships. The system is screwed up and Stanford should be ranked 3rd in my opinion. I hope they win out and LSU wins out. In my opinion that would be the most competitive game to watch. The Big 12 has teams that are great on offense but terrible on defense. The Big 10 is weak along with the ACC and the Big East. Just seems like there is more parity in college football with coaches not staying at one school for more than 5-10 years most of the time. I really hope that if Ok. St. and Stanford win out that Stanford ends up number 2. No way Alabama gets a rematch with LSU. I just don't see that happening and would only happen in my opinion if Boise St., Oklahoma St. and Stanford all lost.
