SEC is a fraud and now...

Straight up, Alabama already played the National Championship w/ homefield advantage. I don't wanna hear "Wahhhh, the kicker". He's part of your team. They already lost.

No one wants to watch this game, because it means nothing. LSU will either roll, or Alabama will win in a game that means NOTHING.

If you're LSU, you're playing a team you already beat on the road. It's hard to get motivated against a team you did that to.

AND if Alabama wins, when's game 3?

If u actually believe anything the BCS is saying u are pretty damn stupid.and by the way Alabamas body of work was a lot better than Ok St When u win 11  of 12 games by at least 16 points and are tied after regulation with number 1 team in nation u have better body of work than a team that lost to iowa st and beats A & M by a point u have no case

Everyone who says Alabama shouldnt be there is an Idiot Oklahoma state lost to an unranked god awful Iowa state team.. tragedy or not they still lost to one of the worst teams in the Big 12. Dont lose to a pittiful team and maybe you would have gotten to the big game, I agree though, I do not want to see these 2 teams play again. I would much rather see Oklahoma State get destroyed. We have the 2 best teams in the country playing. Yes its probably going to be a boring game. Im more discouraged by our other bowls more than this one. Look at the Orange bowl??? It has become the Carquest bowl. #15 and #23 teams playing in a BCS bowl? And the Sugar bowl has become the Go daddy.com bowl.. Va tech vs Michigan LOL?   The Cotton bowl has the #6 and #8 teams playing. That should be a BCS bowl.  

while I agree that Bama is 2nd best team in the nation, I hate the fact that if Bame wins, LSU still would be more deserving of the title than Bama.

Heck if BAMA wins, let's get a 3rd round !! BEST OF 3 !!! Kind of like Double elimination !!!

Although I think Bama would fare better against LSU than Ok St, still, I rather watch OSU play for the title instead.  HECK, not like it'll be the only game that is a blowout in a title game.

u are wrong composite it is designed for 2 best teams,BCS has changed the formula a few times to try and get it right,and USC got shafted big time one of those years. and  theres a few things keeping OK ST out in my opinion not just the IOwa St game,the Texas A & M game hurt them too,and also Alabama being so dominant all season when a SEC team wins all there games by at least 16 points thats going to help and no matter what the media tries to say about Big 12,SEC is still the better conference

Dominating over teams like North Texas, Georgia Southern, Kent State out of conference sure shows how good they really are, huh?

The SEC is the most talented Division, I'm well aware of that. But the Big 12 is the most competitive. To dominate the Big 12, and a respectable out of conference schedule (Alabama doesn't have that) is enough of a resume to get in, in spite of a loss to a top 35 team with the 8thd strongest SOS, on the road (Yes, all that is true about Iowa State).

If Oklahoma would've done everything that Oklahoma State did, Oklahoma would've made the National Championship. It just shows how much name means in deciding the NC.

Alabama got in on name alone, and they don't deserve to be in because of their PATHETIC non-conference scheduling. I can't respect a team that schedules Georgia Southern in the 2nd to last game of the year, just to make themselves look good. Embarrassing.

Like I said elsewhere, if it were truly about the 2 "best" teams, then Okla State could be undefeated and you can make the same argument that Bama should play in the BCS championship since they have a better shot of winning than Okie St.

But if you're looking @ records, Bama's played nobody.  Outside of LSU and Bama, the SEC has been incredibly overrated this year.  Arkansas is a complete fraud. They needed incredible luck to beat Tex A&M and Vandy. 

How about we just followed the rules that all conferences agreed to follow???

 

Again, Bama beat nobody.  They've beaten 2 decent teams in Penn State and Arkansas. Arkansas is a fraud.  Penn State lost by 40 to Wisky.

When Boise beats nobody, people say they're a fraud.

When Bama beats nobody, it's ok. Why? Because they play in the SEC. 

The SEC is pathetic this season outside of LSU and Bama.  Georgia got destroyed by Boise in Georgia, and then went 10-2. 

How is Arkansas Fraud??  LOL  Only lost to the #1 team in the country both times..??   Who did Oklahoma state lose to..OUCH? Who did they beat??  Alabama played an SEC schedule... Mississippi state would be the 3rd best team in the BIg 12 if they played in it.. Georgia would win it... 

The Best 2 Teams in the Country are LSU and Alabama 

Again, if you don't count quality of wins, then Boise St., TCU, Utah, Tulane, Cincinnati would have arguments to play for the BCS championship in past year. 

You don't look at the quality of loss. 

And Arkansas is a fraud.  Their OOC schedule consisted of Missouri State, Troy, New Mex St and Tex A&M.  In the SEC they needed a 90-yd fumble return to beat Vandy.  They only had 1 quality SEC opponent, South Carolina, who was missing their star RB.

The SEC is a big circle jerk.  Why are SEC teams good? Because they beat SEC teams.

I'm not even saying Bama is a bad team. Heck, I think they're the "best" team. Yeah, better than LSU, who I think they'll kick the crap out of.  But that doesn't make them "deserving." 

 

 

Lets see.... The SEC has 9 teams in bowl games... They had a #1, #2, and #3 all in the BCS at one time... They are top to bottom better than any other conference in the nation, have the two best teams in the nation playing each other, and are about to claim a 6th consecutive national title... It's also very possible that they are about to claim a 3rd consecutive Heisman Trophy! Yeah... Arguments can certainly be made against that! HAHAHAHA! 

ya know....we get this Big 12 man-love.....every year then somehow we (YOU) forget...that when the Big 12 teams have a chance to show us how great they are... in the bowls....they fail miserably.......(with a few exceptions)......last 5 years they are 18-20 SU....and a sterling 11-27 ATS....meaning essentially their representative teams....underachieved in 27 of 38 games......(kinda sorta)

is 31-15 SU.....and 27-19 ATS....(and if Spurrier wasn't more interested in playing golf.....)

Texas...OU...Aggies...and Okie St?.....8-10 SU / 5-13 ATS

*this year it appears that the gap between the 2 conferences.....MIGHT not be quite as wide ...but just a guess really...outside of close wins vs TCU and Fla St not much evidence

*won by 1 at  6-6  A&M ....A&M HC fired later

*destroyed 2-10 Kansas at home....HC fired

*struggled with average Texas team ....there
    * Horns shut down passing game

*nice win at 7-5 battered Mizzu.....Mizzu 248 rushing

*great win at home v Baylor...but Baylor 622 TO....bout 35 FD or so      

*another nice win at home...v Kan St...but Kan St 276 rushing (season high)....and 507 TO

* destroyed 5-7 Texas Tech ...there

*lost to 6-5 Iowa St...there....Iowa St 568 TO !!!...192 rushing

* great win at home v OU....a team that clearly QUIT.....

definitely a team that is worthy of a top bowl....but hardly a national championship quality team....
giving up around 450 yds...and 26 pts per game....about the 7th best D in Big 12 play

As mentioned..what makes this Okie St over Bama argument so silly...is that the Big 12 did not want a play-off....wouldn't even discuss it.....when pushed by Slive / SEC in 2008 or so....

the SEC is the best conference u are wrong about it being overrated just cause they scores arent in the 40,s and 50,s Texas A & M was the best 3 quarter team in nation,the problem with them they couldnt hold a lead in 4th quarter against almost anyone,and your calling the Sec overrated thats laughable they have the fastest teams in the country,u put any sec team in any other conference and there record will be better than what it was in the SEC,and SEC also gets the top recruits in nation every season

Why is the SEC good? SEC is made up of higher calibre athletes in every catagory.
LSU is the best team in the country.  Okie st. would lose in a blowout.  Bama will lose in a closer game.

Its definitely a debate for the ages that will go unsolved until there is a playoff system, but, we do not have it right now so the BCS will work with what it has!

I am not the biggest SEC fan and Alabama did lose their chance, but by great luck they did infact re-earn it with key Oregon, Okie State, Oklahoma and Stanford losses. There is nothing else to argue after that. If any one of those teams continued to roll and not shit the bed, they would be in...Okie state in particular.

In all honesty, Bama is the only team that stands a chance against LSU, with some special teams luck and some defensive points put up. This is why they are the second best team in the nation and are playing in the national championship. LSU will open at -3 or -4, and it is going to be another repaeat of a low scoring affair, but nontheless it will be a game of beauty in watching the best defensively skilled athletes in the nation put on a defensive show.

im a big auburn man and if anyone saw the game of bama and lsu.it was like bama was playing in high school fall jamboree where u dont want to show anything.then they come out against us and ran eveything they had.even their best 2 point play.if u ask me nick and his staff showed how bright they are.they should have not shown all that much stuff knowing the rematch was ineveidble with lsu.it will be much tougher this time with jefferson in there for the whole game.all i have to say is dont screw this one up nick,and dont try field goals that u know the kicker cant make.go bama......................
