You claimed UCF sucked out. Problem is, UCF was a favorite pre flop, and a big one according to vegas. Therefore, Memphis would have to suck out to win. UCF catching on the turn or river isnt a suck out.
So you analogy is just bad. Youre the guy holding 8/9 vs AK and the flop comes 8/2/4...you shout YES!!!

You sit there claiming bad beat / suck out....when you will lose that hand way more often than not. AK vs 89 is actually closer than UCF -9.5 vs Memphis was....probably AK vs 58.....
