In this game I think we need to look at a few things. QB play, experience, overall match ups and coaching. Now when I look at this game I don't know how anyone cant deny the fact that the better and most experienced QB plays for Oklahoma. In big games I always tell people to evaluate which team has the better QB, and then you will identify the better team in most cases. Trust me, when you have two very talented football teams like these two, the easiest way to separate them is by the QB. A lot of times people look at a game like this and say, 9.5 or 10 points is a lot of points to give to another team in a rivalry game. Well, maybe not so much. IMO, I think that Oklahoma only laying 9.5 is a gift. I have many reason to why I think that, but it all goes back to the QB.
A few weeks ago when I was trying to convince this forum that Clemson was not only going to cover the spread vs FSU, but they would beat them. My reason for that game are very similar to this game. Ask yourself this question, Who has the better QB? Who has the better receivers? Who has the Better OL? Who has the better DL? Who has the better special teams? Who has the better DB's? You know what? I think without a doubt you will find that most if not all your answers will be Oklahoma. Again, I'm not saying Texas doesn't have the athletes Oklahoma has. I'm simply saying that right now Oklahoma's are more polished. Another big thing in this game is Texas doesn't have a QB, they have two. Guess whay happens when a team has two QB's instead of one? They have none, none is your answer. Saturday the two young Texas QB's will find out that this aint no Iowa S.T defense there playing. There playing the most athletic fastest defenders they have seen to date. Now what will happen in this situation? Turnovers, turnovers and more turnovers.
I was the guy that said two months ago Texas will surprise people this year. I'm still sticking to that and think they will have a good year. I'm just saying in this game, there not ready for this yet.
I see a pretty good comfortable Oklahoma win.
