Don't like putting Miami or Notre Dame in there, but I really don't have a clue what to do here. Alabama has been dogging it the past 3 weeks and so I don't like them either. Personally I would love to see Vandy in but we all know the committee will give them a hard no.

I agree with your list EXCEPT no Bama, put Texas in there at least...you're right that Tulane and JMU get in AND that Vandy has no shot
This is kinda like NCAA March Madness where committed has to look at the Future matchups..I want to see Georgia play either Indiana or OSU not Tech..BIG 10 still can't beat SEC
Notre Dame gets in no m matter what

I'm totally fine with no bama. But, I don't know how you have Texas leapfrog everyone to get in. Its basically coming down to 4 teams (Bama, Notre Dame, Miami, and we will add your Texas choice) for 2 spots. All of these teams have good arguments and ugly warts.
My only other point is that we are critical of these teams and their issues. But Tulane and JMU won't have a chance. Yes I could see Tulane kicking around for a half and then being eased into the offseason. But JMU will get taken to town. Good for them for qualifying and taking advance of the rules. But blame Virginia.

I get what your saying. So then my question to us is this.
If Notre Dame is in, who is out? Bama or Miami?

they should just go by BCS rankings and take the top 8 teams, none of this seeding gamesmanship. this would also make conference championship games relevant. You are #8 right now and playing a conference championship game? don't fucking get blown out.

The committee will make sure the ACC is represented with Miami since their champion Duke is out, plus they beat Notre Dame head to head. It will come down to Alabama and Notre Dame so I would take Notre Dame
Alabama lost to #8 Oklahoma and Florida State (not counting SEC championship which they stunk it up)
Notre Dame lost to #9 Miami and #7 Texas A&M

I'm fine with Bama being out. They have looked like garbage the past 3 weeks. I just expect madness from the SEC if they bump Bama out for being made to play in the Conference Championship even though they were top 10 before the game.

@AJ86 Texas deserves to get in by kicking Aggies ass and playing OSU in opener..Defense is a Force like TT, Georgia have... DEFENSE always Wins Championships. Notre Dame can play some Defense too Can't wait to see playoffs released in the morning
My only concern with Texas is that they lost to Florida and had to go to OT to beat both Kentucky and Mississippi State. All 3 of those teams are not even bowl eligible.

Sure the same way you disregard bama losing to Florida state week 1 . Bama brings more money to the table as does notre dame . Just my thoughts I could be totally wrong but these people look at money not what’s best haha

Personally I have no problem with Bama being out. And yes your right, TV ratings and $$ are a factor (which sucks). Its going to be circus with final selections.

The best team is down ranking on purpose so when playoff time, they will explode to take all of your money. Rank high n you'll have a target on your head during playoff times.

I agree with you bama should be out in a decent world . But also does James Madison or Tulane deserve to be in they will be and it’s cute but they aren’t top 12 teams .

That may be the real problem letting in the cute Boise states of the world . It’s fun and whatever they could pull an upset but it also takes up spots and with 12 teams they really aren’t the best .

I have Notre Dame in, their two losses were really close loses against two really good teams way back in September, and they have straight curb stomped every opponent since then. On a neutral field they would be at least a FG favorite against both Miami and Bama. Last spot comes down to those two teams, id personally give it to Miami cuz they played better down the stretch but I also don't like Bama getting penalized for losing their conference championship. Flip a coin.
