What's going on fellas....as Bart Scott would say...can't wait ....pretty solid not great last year 88-72 (+7.0)...still profitable 16 of last 18 (8 of 9 on covers) seasons.. I am serious and don't call me Shirley...time for something better....none of it matter for this season...other than bankroll....locked in a few early ones combo of a couple books...

I like Ohio and was looking at Ohio St but do you think Bowling Green will drop off significantly this year? I thought Mail transferred from Missouri to there. I know he had some behavior issues but so did Chad Kelly at Clemson and he lit it up at Ole Miss. Just makes me pause slightly.

Really like Ohio but wonder about Ohio State. Do you think BG drops significantly? I thought Mauk from Missouri signed with them. Could be another Chad Kelly story...any thoughts?

doc - yeah hard to see ASU as favorite since Toledo owned the last couple matchups and the better team, looking forward to it buddy GL

hammer - think Mauk ended up at EKU and that Knapke will be QB...even so not likely to match Johnson (46-8 TD INT) and also lost strong RB and some WRs...new coach with no HC or coordinator...offensive line solid and average skill positions...so should be decent just probably not more than 17 against OSU...so comes down to OSU offense which is kind of a crap shoot with the turnover and could stall if QB struggles as offense did at times last year....still BG has given up 40+ nine times over past couple years so thinking OSU can probably get 45+....if they struggle in the 30's they it'll be an ATS loss, GL this season

 

Great to see you NOS.     I like the Florida Pick.   I think Del Rio will be legit.   The D will be vicious.   and UMASS very bad.  I think some are wary of the Florida O, but it looked good in the spring game.

Florida 55 UMass 7 - expecting Florida QB play to be improved along with running game should match up with UMass allowing 40+ 10 times over past couple seasons...UF solid in openers lately and new HC probably would like the same...expecting dropoff at QB for UMass

Penn St 38 Kent St 7 - KSU offense not much threat averaging under DD last few years on nonconference road....so mostly likely comes to down PSU offense grinding enough to get into the 30's...talent at skill positions if new QB is decent...won 34-0 in 2013 matchup

Ohio St 51 BG 14 - BG loses a lot at skill positions and tough to match QB numbers from last year...so depends on how many mostly new QSU offense can put up...BG allowing 40+ in a few games last season

Ohio 45 Texas St 14 - expecting Ohio defense to be pretty solid and possibly improved offense...at least against TSU defense allowing 40+ on a regular basis last year

Toledo 41 Ark St 34 - Rockets have owned matchups in the last couple years and still appear to be the more talented team, ASU replacing some key skill players...Toledo 8-3 straight up on road over past couple seasons

Boise St 48 ULL 17 - BSU offense looks solid and should do some damage against ULL defense...dominated better ULL team 34-9 at home in 2014

W Kentucky 48 Rice 21 - biggest question since 49-10 matchup last year obviously WKU QB...appears system should generate points if QB is decent with offensive players mostly too quick for the Owls

Georgia 34 UNC 21- although UNC finished last year as the better team, expect some dropoff at QB for the tar heels even though new QB appears to have some talent...like the new UGA coach and OL coach...should be able to run through UNC defense and dogs own the much better D

LSU 24 Wisconsin 23 - Tigers not a team we like to wager against, however UW matched up pretty well in '14 matchup, has a solid defense, tough team to blow out with only a couple losses by more than 10 including 59-0 OSU debacle, and would think Badgers even more hyped than LSU to play at Lambeau

Similarl thoughts on OSU, PSU, FLA & GA

BGSU Also lost head coach and both coordinators, switching to more traditional air raid offense but with a far less superior quarterback and skill positions. Watched Knapke (however you spell BGSU's Qb's name) get trounced by Wisconsin by 40 + two seasons ago. W/ drop off on O and A defense that doesn't seem to have much reason to be better than the 40+ they gave up multiple times last year, even a green OSU team should show out in opener.

PSU- I think the same of the game but possibly even more points than 38 with that new offense they're running. Looked great in spring game with T.Mcshorly. They scored 34 with a TERRIBLE offense last time they played. I expect 45+ in week 1 from PSU and possibly another goose egg for KSU

LASTLY, Umass is just terrible and your spot on about the qb situation. Fla will be much improved on O and probably won't let Umass score in a night game at the swamp.

I also like Louisville to kick the dog shit out of charollette but that's for another time/post lol

Auburn 30 Clemson 27 - comes down to whether Auburn can get decent QB play, believe passing will be improved and Franklin dangerous running who along with RBs might do some damage against defense that gives up some rushing yards and has some turnover...Auburn defense should be improved and has the size and speed to hang...even so going against Clemson is not our favorite spot

Ball St 38 Georgia St 31 - tough to get too excited about the Cards after last year and losing 31-19 at home against GSU...believe GSU might be a little overrated after last year's strong finish and tough to replace Arbuckle...wasn't really impressed looking at spring game possibilities...expecting BSU to be improved at QB and on defense....still it's Ball St so fair warning and keeping small

Nos - nice work - of all your plays, like Penn State the Best...the perception of the market will be that they lost HackBurg, and they wil take a step back.     The opposite will happen.   Anyone who watched the spring game on youtube, knows that they will be very more effiicient and aggressive, this season on O, the coach franklin is on the hot seat, so its do it or else..  Kent returns a lot of starters, but I don't think that will be a difference.  Penn State will be one of my 4-6  plays for week 1.

Couldn't agree more! A good demonstration for those at Penn St that question the change to spread/uptempo. They have the athletes to be very good.

Nice career here. Keep up the good work. Like Fla haven't really looked though. Think the Canes return this year? I personally love the Richt hire. 

NOS et al - I know its a different year, and McElwain is now the coach at UF, but Florida is 11-20 ATS at the Swamp during the last 5 years...Question, is this an opp that will help Florida backers get a better line or a warning to stay away...Mass is normally bad away from home, and they have virtually no one coming back...though they are well coached...Granted, Mass won't score more than 7 and probably no more than 3, but with Del Rio leading, can they score enough points to cover?
