What on earth is happening with these Syracuse lines? Is this really a week where I bet them AGAIN? Yup...Clemson is fugazi, I don't care what anyone says. It's long overdue for Swinney to go. Meanwhile, what Syracuse is doing with their play calling upon the return of Angeli. Nothing too sophisticated but the play action is there and the balance is creating a very efficient offense. While nothing to get excited about, Syracuse is climbing the AEPA rankings, sitting at 65th and showing promise. Where is Clemson might you ask? 127th...yes, Clemson has one of the nation's worst offenses in adjusted metrics with -0.17 EPA/play. And lets not get carried away with that Florida State win...the Norvell firing was a long time coming. That program is trash and they still out gained Clemson 415-351 last week AND lost the turnover margin -4...yes, Florida State had 4 turnovers, yet out gained Clemson and managed to keep it close to a 10-16 point game throughout. Clemson should have won that game by 21+. But, why didn't they? Their offense. On the flip, Clemson does have the superior defense, however they allow nearly 4.93 YPR which Syracuse will take advantage of not only to get shorter 2nd and 3rd downs, but also the play action. If you read the press clippings, you see everyone in the Syracuse athletic dept. calling for the students and the fans to show up. While I don't think that environment will ever be a "home field", I do think the fans will listen. I will gladly take any points here because I think Syracuse's hot play continues and they win outright by 7+ in a 31-24 type game.
4*** Syracuse +2.5 (-108)
Best of luck!

I think we are going to start seeing the LSU many expected. Top 6 in both offensive and defensive EPA metrics. Bama haven't looked great the last 3 weeks and against a suffocating defense like LSU, in death valley, I don't expect that to change. This also begins the gauntlet for LSU to finish the season....Bama, Texas and Tennessee to close it out. Leavitt finally seems to have figured out this offense. I actually think this has a chance to be a 10+ point game. Defense = winners. LSU is -0.27 adjusted EPA play defense when you take out garbage time and only allowing 4.33 yars/play. Those numbers are 2nd to only Texas. Give me the LSU team finding their stride and the Bama team that is showing some holes of late in a big time SEC matchup.
2*** LSU -5.5 (-110)
