Most overrated team in the country?

 

 

 

Okay, I was really going to stay out of this thread until I read some idiot USC fan proclaim that "if not for Vince Young..." blah blah blah.  When will USC finally admit they got beat by a better team from a better conference once and for all?!?  A little info for all of you USC morons that can't swallow the Longhorn pill.  Sixteen starters and twenty-one players from the 2005 National Championship currently are playing in the NFL.

Can we once and for all admit and accept that Vince Young had more than a little bit of help in 2005?  The irony of the 2005 season is that the reason why USC didn't win the National Championship is because they were the school that took the Rose Bowl field that night that wasn't a TEAM.  Who can forget Pete Carrol sitting on the bench on his cell phone before the game.  Or Reggie Bush blindly pitching the ball to no one in particular.  Or Matt Leinart in the post game interview saying that he still thought they were better than Texas.  USC...too much Hollywood and not enough blood and guts!

 

And that my friends is why USC is the most overrated team this year and every other year the college football season rolls around.  When the cameras are rolling and a national audience is watching, they play.  Mostly as individuals, but they play.  But on a dreary, rainy night in Corvalis this year, or in Eugene or Tuscon next year, the Trojans will roll into town without much pomp and circumstance and do exactly what they did...LAY AN EGG!

 

Whether the Pac 10 is good, like you think, or awful, like the rest of us think, it makes no difference.  Because when it's all said and done in 2008, guess what?  USC will be Pac 10 Football Runner Ups!  Make room in the trophy...
