Ok everyone, First of all I'm gonna start by saying I'm a UGA fan and I love my dawgs, that being said I'm somewhat disappointed in their defense this year. However, some key injuries on both sides of the ball have hurts us tremendously. On defense like Jeff Owens our premier DT, Danelle Ellerbee our MLB, and offense Trenton Sturdivant, our best and most experienced OL, Chris Durham WR, and last but definitely not least Brannan Sutherland our tenacious FB. I'm not on here to make excuses for the dawgs but I'm just stating the facts. Going back to last year, the two hottest teams in the country and IMHO the two best were UGA and USC, both at which were very high pre-season picks. As for the SEC being overrated, that's horse shit. Yea the top 5-6 teams aren't as good this year as usual but top to bottom the conference as a whole is still without a doubt the best in the land. Mel Kiper Jr. said it best " The SEC is closest conference to the NFL as their is because every week each team must bring their "A" game or they can easily slip up and lose because the defense from top to bottom is that good! This is a college/NFL expert saying this! And if that's not enough info for you Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso on college gameday both specifically said that the top 3-4 in the Big 12 were better at this time then the top 3-4 in the SEC but from top to bottom this SEC still has the edge. If we judged conferences by their top team then USC would have nothing to worry about but that's not the case. Also, I'm now living in Southern California where my cousin is in school at USC and I've watched many USC games and I do think they're a really good team judging by the games/teams they play but I do think if they played in the SEC or Big 12 they would have more than 1 loss, like other 2 or 3 loss teams LSU, UGA., MIZZ, or OKIE ST. Think about it USC and their defense is going against teams like WSU, WASH, STAN, OREG ST who got trampled by Penn ST who is another overrated team. All I'm saying is SEC is a different style of football than the Pac 10 and Big 12, In the SEC it's all about defense and team speed, ball control, and grinding out to win football games much like alabama does. In the P-10, Big 12 it's finesse style football. It's just different. Graham Harell, Colt McCoy, nor Sam Bradford would be even close to putting up the kind of numbers they're putting up in the Big 12 if they played in the SEC. I'm not saying that these three aren't grat qb's because I think they're all extremely talented but I don't think they would have 70-80% completion percentage against some of the stingy SEC defenses like they do now. Also, as for SEC playing non-conference games, UGA has played Boise St which we annihilated, Colorado which we won, OKIE ST last year which we crushed and Ariz St this year, so we do try to schedule good non-conference opponents. The bottom line is The SEC and the BIG 12 are without a doubt the best conferences in the country, even in somewhat down years.

I'll tell you who's underrated... NC State. Watch them beat the Tar Heels straight up tomorrow.
USC overrated? Too funny. Take Vince Young out of the equasion and they wouldn't have lost a non conference game in like a decade. They'll KILL Notre Dame and then who ever they play in whatever bowl.
Arizona State is a disaster. How in the hell can you not get great players to come to that campus, with those girls and those facilities and the weather and no academic standards, etc. etc.

First of all, you are citing pea-brained motormouth Mel Kiper Jr. and ass clown Lee Corso as evidence for the SEC being best conference? I don't think that is going to convince too many people. Mel Kiper Jr. is another Tony Kornheiser; a jackoff who loves to hear himself talk but knows jackshit.

The superior defense argument just doesn't hold water. It's not so much that SEC defenses are that much superior to the other conferences, it's more that their offenses are absolutely abysmal, with the exception of Florida. Case in point: the Tennessee-Wyoming game. Mt. West cellar-dweller Wyoming was shut out twice by Mt. West teams but managed to beat Tennessee in their own big, bad 100,000-person stadium. This also pokes a hole in the "better from top to bottom" argument. The crappy teams of the SEC are crap teams just like any other conference has crap teams.
I have a lot of respect for the SEC and over the years they are the undisputed best conference but the SEC really sucks this year and there is no way it is a better conference than the Big 12. I respectfully disagree that the SEC is better from top to bottom. Florida is the class of the conference and after that there is a big dropoff. Alabama is the second-best team in the SEC and Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Texas could all beat Alabama head to head. I would also give Ok St and Missouri a good shot at beating Alabama. After Alabama there is another big dropoff and the rest of the teams, including Georgia are not even close. Bama already proved that between the hedges, in case you had forgotten.
Hate to break the news to you but there is no way your Dawgs should be top 5 or even top 10. It's a joke that they were ranked number 1 to start the year. They were lucky to beat suckass Kentucky and shitballz Auburn.
UGA and top 5 should not even be mentioned in the same sentence. This is straight up homer talk. I'm changing my vote to Georgia.

Most overrated conference has to be the Big 10 or the Pac 1. USC has no one to contend with recruiting wise and their teams in that conference are sub par at best. To say Alabama is overrated when they are undefeated is absurd. Georgia is 9-2, only losing to #3 FL and #1 Alabama. The most overrated team has to be Ohio ST. Anytime they step up and play a real team, they normally get blown out.

Of course Boise State, Ball State and Utah are all pretenders. All they will do is hog a spot for a more deserving team. They remind me of overated high school players who played in a conference of nobodies and did squat in college against real talent. I dont know why the media is intent on pushing these bullcrap cinderella stories on us each year. We all know the outcome when they play REAL teams. (Georgia vs Hawaii anyone?) And don't give me that Boise State vs Oklahoma crap. It was a nice game but honestly how many of those have we seen. They still show that Statue of Liberty play to this day and Im sick of looking at it. Why? Because there is not much other footage to show from these so called BCS busters. Yeah right!
Also a real overrated team is definitely USC. Sanchez is the worst QB I have seen there in a while. The offensive line is spotty at best. The defense is good but not great. There are times and even total games where they are nonexistent. They have talent but that offense is dowright atrocious at times. I know this because I bet on these clowns and watch their games. I dont see how Lee Corso could call them the best Defense of all time last week. That guy is definitely on something. I've seen too many inferior teams gash that defense and they dont have nearly as many big plays as Im used to seeing with supposedly not much dropoff in talent.

Boise is under rated you idiots, they don't recruit the top athletes like the USC, Bama, and Arkansas. In a neutral field, I bet you Boise wouldn't do that bad against a great deal of the top 10 teams. The only pretenders is you guys who are criticizing the program for thinking you know it. As of now, the number #1 over rated school is anyone ranked in the ACC. Bama is desrerving of a top 5 spot, so it Tech, Florida, Texas, and Okie. Utah is a little bit overrated, but we will see tonight.

they have only gone 11-0 in the sec. hell, florida hasnt even gone undefeated this year through the sec. they lost to ole miss at home! i know yall are so in love with florida and tebow that you cant think straight but your hearts will be broken come dec 6th because bama is going to put it on em. and when bama holds that crystal ball high in the air down in miami, maybe then we will get some respect. i doubt it though because the naysayers wont be able to congradulate us due to the fact that tebows cock will still be firmly in their mouths...
