Most obnoxious and/or delusional fanbase...

Listen folks...I know football is almost here (50 something days), but I wanted to throw a quick question to all of the college football fans in the forum. I am respectfully curious to hear from fans in all areas of the country.


Who is the most obnoxious fan base?

We are getting close to kickoff my friends! Let's soak up all of the info we can and "bank up" (even though my question in this post will do nothing to help you win...it is strictly to get your feedback)!

For me, it's Michigan fans. They think they are the greatest program on the planet despite the fact that they have only won a half of a National Championship since WWII. They don't understand their greatest success came pre-WWII. They talk about the "Michigan way" or being a "Michigan man" and doing things the right way. It's all BS to listen to.

I am sure there are tons of delusional fan bases out there but this is the one I have to deal with on a daily basis so it affects me the most.

obnoxious = West Virginia (If there was an NFL draft for fans the Eagles would take them)

delusional = Notre Dame

Most obnoxious is Alabama as a whole and it's not very close, that could have a lot to do with me going there and being around the fans forever but they are pretty awful and have nothing else to pay attention too.

Obnoxious--  Bowling Green   every time they come to Buffalo , there are 3 or 4 Vans that park in the lot and throw beer cans and garbage all over the  place

 Most delusional are ohio st. (remember the thread, "2010 buckeyes........greatest team ever?") & Penn st. fans.............I play golf with a couple of Mich. fans so I'll throw them in too.

Alabama

My Cal Bears have good longterm fans, but the bandwagon fans are some of the worst in the nation.  As soon as the Cal bandwagon starts getting full, a 3 game losing streak is usually in order.

every fanbase seems to need their team to be so great to meet their own expectations and improve their impoverished lives,

truth is, half of your teams will suck, half of the teams left will be average, half of those left will be good, and ONLY ONE TEAM WILL WIN IT ALL

Notre Dame for both and it's not even close.  The fans are the most pompous arrogant bastards you will ever come across.  They're only relevant once every 20 years but every QB that goes there is the next great thing.   

Texas A&M most obnoxious and delusional... They have a fake military enough said.  Everytime they came up to Lubbock we would throw shit and beer bottles at their bus outside of the hotel a fucking epic time.  They also somehow think they will win the Big 12 (now SEC) every year and nothing is more delusional than that.  They couldn't beat us for 16 straight years in Lubbock and yet still ran their mouth.  I'm glad we won't have to see their damn male cheerleaders prancing across the sideline at Jones AT&T ever again.  What a bunch of fake military losers.
