mmmmm yeah...sharps do lose games. Nobody wins them all. Point being, the game sets up under typical sharp vs square angles.
my own take is that wisky is a bit of a wild card. hasnt lost a cover, could be a strong favorite. MSU is clearly a live dog in this spot, the question is whether wilson will play well vs MSU defense on the road. Nobody knows, & people who tell you who will win this one are just guessing.

For all of you that keep using the "Russell Wilson" factor as the difference in this game, just stop.
Living in the Raleigh area, i've seen plenty of Russell and he is not a good decision maker when there is any pressure/stress put on him. If the going gets tough on Saturday night, don't expect Russell to carry his team.
The past two years, his NCSU team went 2 and 6 in conference road games.
If Sparty can't move the ball, control temp and dominate ball possession, the Whisky team will win (and possibly cover). If it's a close game, Russell will be the factor .... for Mich St covering (and possibly winning).
Here is a breakdown of Russell's road conference games the past two seasons:
2010
@ GT (win) - 8.9 Yds / Att - 3 TD 1 Int
@ Clemson (loss) - 5.9 Yds / Att - 1 TD 1 Int
@ UNC (win) - 5.6 Yds / Att - 2 TD 1 Int
@ MD (loss) - 5.2 Yds / Att - 2 TD 1 Int

gonna be a fun game to watch! i like Wisky... not because they have rolled over their weak competition and are undefeated SU and ATS... i really like this team! when i heard Wilson (a truly dynamic, experienced, play-making QB) was joining Wisconsin, a team that has always lacked that play-maker, but has just about everything else, i was excited to see them play... now that i have, i am convinced they can lineup with any team in CFB and be able to compete, and to say that about a Big 10 team is truly something...
Mich St is good... i like them... but the fact, is, i know Bama would roll them in the Bowl game last year, and would again this year... and that means that Wisky and MSU are on two different levels...
with Gholston out, it's just icing on the cake... see Wisky winning by 2 TDs...

He was also playing for a shitty NC ST team most people in the country have never watched them play a down. Now he has 5 350 lb midwestern linemen in front of him giving him all the time he needs to make good decisions. Having a monstrous O-line does wonders for QB's. It also helps when defenses have to respect the run, which gives him even more time back there. Monte Ball and James White are both top 10 running backs. NC ST never offered him any of that

Seriously? I think more people are thinking they are "sharps" and taking MSU than Wisky. Hell, ESPN keeps tooting the MSU horn saying this is Wisconsins 1st true test and the MSU defense is 2nd in the nation (which is a freakin' JOKE).
