My Bama guy has read the thread.
He doesn't have an account here but wanted me to respond to post #58 for him.
I will do so here (transcribed as usual):
The only points I found interesting were the actual ticket ratio and the replaced kicker. Of course, my feelings about consistency are the same between a rattled starting kicker and an untested backup. Similar risk to me.
As for everything else, I'm not buying it. The homer said 'the only time Bama has let up on intensity in the last few years has been after a loss.' Huh?? Then there was the dominance thing. He didn't even refute that, just said 'best D in the country.' Yeah, that's great. Unfortunately, they should absolutely have lost to Arkansas, almost buckled against Auburn, and needed OT to beat a relatively lousy LSU. That's not dominance, great D or not.
Still, my favorite is Auburn having the best 1-2 WR's in the country. I guess that's why Nick Marshall bombs away for 450 yards every game, relying on these two studs. They have big, giant WR's, but only an in-state homer would call Auburn's aerial threat 'one of the best in the country' in all caps no less. You had me until you went all caps, buddy. Never go all caps.
Then, he wound up agreeing with my recommendation anyway. Typical Internet critic: nitpicks all of your points into the ground, finishes with 'but I know what you meant, and I agree.'

now u go to the great lengths of saying this so called friend posted thru you a response ? . You seem to have toned down your delusion anyway .This morning t was I got THE call from this guy was some guru in betting games that Bama is in .Now its just a friend who called me on the tele ,whos trying to help me out ??? .And for those write ups .,no one wants these long winded one page breakdown thats80% fluff .They want a few reasons why , WAKE UP
