It felt like Indiana won their Super Bowl beating the Buckeyes in the Big 10 championship. I think the extended break gave them the time to celebrate and then reset & focus on the next Goliath, Alabama. Now Cignetti's Hoosiers are the favorites but I think he prepares them like hungry dogs, ready for the next meal. Alabama showed some grit coming back from a 17-0 hole in the 1st game, but it was gifted with dropped passes, botched punt and a pick 6. These Gifts are something that Cignetti's Hoosiers and Mendoza do not give. They will make you earn it for 4 quarters and I don't think Alabama can keep up. Fernando Mendoza makes the right decisions and his accuracy reminds me of Joe Burrow. The Hoosiers RPO game will be hard for Bama to stop and get off the field. The Hoosier O line leads a balanced attack that Bama does not have. In Bama's last 5 games vs power 4 defenses they have averaged 64 RYPG. That is not how you keep the Hoosier offense off the field and I think the Bama defense is in for a long day.
I don't think the Heisman QB and the remarkable coach are satisfied yet.
Hoosiers -6.5
