I win 34k on Hurricane futures. How much would you hedge?

Bet 1500 to win 34k for miami to win it all.

How much would you hedge this?

I need to see injury reports but miamis top 3 cbs left the game and they were down to their #4 cb and a true freshman who had his first snaps.

DE messidor also looked like he had a serious elbow injury , and our best DT has a bad ankle.

Before the injuries i was gonna let it ride out but i will be hedging this.  Just not sure how much. 

Miami will make the same penalties against Indiana. Indiana will roll them.

If you have access to $17k I’m laying it on whomever the U plays in the ship. I’d rather have half of that amount than nothing.

All of you telling him to hedge.  He doesn’t really have a good hedge option unless it’s a pick em for the final game.  How would you hedge this right now? There is no true hedge here yet…

You're going to need to bet more than 17k if you want to win 17k.   Indiana will be about -180 to -200 ml, and Oregon would be a little less.

 lol this is not even close to part of a hedge.  Not a full hedge lol.  I don’t think any of you know what a hedge is.  I’ve still yet to see any suggestions from everyone saying to ‘hedge now’ lol.  

Indiana is currently +134 to win the title on FD and Oregon is +290.....so there's options, but nothing easy/cut and dry.....could always take Indiana to win it all and Oregon +3.5 tonight.....small double middle window....

Another factor.....you could just sit and wait and see what happens.....what if whoever wins loses their QB to injury?

 Miami is undisciplined, not sure how much to hedge, but it would be smart to hedge. That could easily cost them the championship no matter who they play.

I'm well aware what a hedge is...but it's a lot easier to hedge when your original play is the favorite

Miami is an underdog in the finals no matter who comes out

Currently -160 for Oregon and -230 for Indiana...that's a lot of juice to hedge on

Depending on who wins today, I'd probably do somewhere between 10k-15k on them    but I'd drop a couple K on Mendoza MVP (since I feel IU wins out) to get some more value

I have a future on Indy before the playoffs just to be a square and take the #1 team.  In your case still no real clear hedge option until after the games over where I would be rooting for Oregon as there odds will be a lot lower than that if Indy won even though I think they'll dominate Oregon tonight.  If you placed 1500 on Miami preseason I'd imagine you'd have to be somewhat of high roller and put half your potential earnings of whatever team they end up facing

You made the long shot bet, stick with it IMO. 

If you want to hedge, go to Vegas and wait till in game. Either watch your long shot fade away, or try to grab a hedge for the middle. Maybe you get lucky and Mia scores first or there's some fluke play and Mia goes up 7-0 or 10-0 in the 1st qtr. You might have a chance to get the other side at even money or as a dog with points and catch a middle or get better ML odds.

With all that said, put your potential winnings on the other side because long shots rarely hit. lol. Good luck and nice play.

 I have been doing this longer than most. You have Miami in the final game. Do not and I repeat Do not do anything until the day of the final game. That is when you will know what you face. 10 days is a long time. Anything can happen. Players get injured, Food Poisining, Flu bug etc. On game day you make your hedge. Betting on teams that have not made the final or players as well who could get hurt is a fools game. Mendoza breaks his arm tonight yet Indiana wins. Miami may be the favorite. To many unknowns to do anything with 10 days and tonight's game. Be smart. Wait and then make your hedge on GameDay not now.
