2005. GucciCapper and GucciCapper's old college buddy flew out from California to watch the 'Canes vs. the Seminoles in Tallahassee. GucciCapper was a lot younger, slimmer and possibly more handsome back then and decided to roll with the 'Canes. Unfortunately, that did not work and GucciCapper went home with GucciCapper's Armani wallet (Believe it or not, GucciCapper did not always rock Gucci) looking a bit slimmer. Fast forward 15 years later and GucciCapper is licking his licks for REDEMPTION. GucciCapper was scouting a few other games earlier in the week that GucciCapper liked and still likes (Iowa State -3, Pittsburgh -3 (mostly due to the lack of focus GucciCapper expects from the Louisville players due to the riots)) but GucciCapper is ONLY dropping one wager tonight. This is the PERFECT storm that will make Hurricane Andrew look like a baby after FSU outright wins tonight.
1) Lets Get this Win for the Coach - Obviously, FSU's coach will not be on the sidelines today because he tested positive for Covid-19. GucciCapper hopes he recovers quickly. GucciCapper expects FSU to be EXTRA motivated for their coach today. GucciCapper loved the angle last year where Arkansas State's coach returned to coach against UNLV after losing his wife (RIP). Arkansas State came out super motivated and blew out UNLV. GucciCapper thinks that FSU will have the same type of intensity playing for their sick coach. But let's dig a bit deeper into who will be doing the play calling today on the offensive side of the ball. Against Georgia Tech two weeks ago, Mike Norvell (head coach) was calling the plays. FSU jumped out early but their offense stalled throughout the game. Now, Kenny Dillingham will be getting the playcalling duties. Dillingham was the offensive coordinator last year for the Auburn Tigers (IMPRESSIVE) but before that he worked for Memphis as their QB coach before finally being promoted to OC in 20018. Who was coaching Memphis at that time? Mike Norvell. Who got Dillingham into coaching? Mike Norvell, all the way back in 2014 at Arizona State. How FIRED UP do you think Kenny Dillingham will be to WIN this game for the man who paved his whole career. GucciCapper expects some great playcalling out of Dillingham today and the FSU offense to roll.
2) Hello waiter, Can GucciCapper order a SANDWICH??? - So lets see what just happened with Miami. Last week, Miami came into Louisville as a 2.5 point dog who turned into a favorite before tip off. National television, Saturday night. Miami won the game, but GucciCapper was not impressed one bit with what he saw out of the team (more to come later). Now, they play a huge RIVALRY game against a FSU team who is getting no respect. Another primetime Night game on ABC? Ok, Miami you guys are getting a lot of hype. But who's next on their schedule....the big bad TIGERS of Clemson. After tonight, Miami will have a bye and then play Clemson in Clemson. Manny Diaz is a terrible coach and there is no way he will have his team focused for this task. It's hard enough to win two primetime games on television back to back. It's even harder preparing your team to stay focused on the task at hand when Clemson is next on their list. GucciCapper expects Miami to lay an egg today while FSU will be the team with all the focus.
