Florida at Bama next Saturday

my opinion is that i feel that the line is too high at bama -9.

but still its either bama or no bet

I think Alabama wins by double digits but this game should be within a score throughout.

Alabama's offense is the type of offense that you need to succeed against Florida's defense. They are just as fast and more physical. Plus they wont abandon the run like most do against UF.

bama usually starts fast but they started really slow last week

i would expect them to come out charging

BAMA takes Floridas head off in this one.....this team is licking its chops.  The books trying to inflate this to keep action off of bama

'bama is not average to me.  Pretty solid with great athletes and good coaching.  I think they beat Fl. like they did last year.

Auburn has a much better shot at beating the Tide than Meyer. Reality has made you bitter young fool. Saban has supplanted Meyer as the mentor of the SEC. All that care to beat him will have to have the talent and brains. Florida does not posses either and the talent sees that, and frankly, no one will while Saban is in Tusc.  Shoot Saban has already made Meyer feel like he is having a heart attack take a leave of abscence!! Going to Tusc Meyer better have sone nitroglycerin pills handy!! FL's defense is avg at best-no way to stop Bama's O,not in Tusc that's for sure, and their O is under the guise of a mediocre Qb and a midget wildcat boy. You cannot beat the Tide by running it from any formation. And we know Brantley is nothing to be feared!! Your shredding "wheels" will suffer a huge blowout come this SAT. Insightful post.  It will probably be close throughout and bama will pull away late.

Books have one objective by throwing 9 points out there, and that is to load money up on the Gators.  EVERYONE saw Alabama barely escape Fayetteville with a Win, so the thought process will be that Florida catching 9 points is a the biggest gift/lock of the year.  I mean, if they can barely beat Arkansas, then NO WAY they can cover 9 against Florida, right? Or at least that is how the thinking will go.

And like a script, Alabama will come out focused at home and put the beat down on Florida.  Gators have great talent, but not clicking this year at all, especially on offense.  They will have nothing to get them back in the game offensively once they are trailing. 

Home crowd plus a defense that will stuff Florida's O will have Ingram and Richardson running for big yardage late in the game.

Ok. Arent quite as fast, but twice as smart......is that better?

Already unloaded on Bama. That Gators QB is going to get killed. Gators fans think their QB is going to play like Ryan Mallet because he beat up on Kentucky? Their defense is full of freshman. They are going to slow down McElroy and Ingram?

Okay let me straighten this thread out and offer my opinion, the right opinion haha. (I guess we all think our opinion is the right one)

When watching Bama play Arkansas, I feel Mallett lost that game more than Bama won it. He kept making some errant throws that looked as if he was really rattled. The INT at the end of the first half really hurt too. They should have taken their 3 points and gone into the half 20-7. I know they lost by 4 but something tells me, Arkansas would have came out more comfortable knowing they were ahead by 2 TD's.

Back to Fla/Bama, Florida has dedicated their off-season to beating Alabama. They realize that they need to be a much more physical team if they are going to beat Alabama. So their defense has installed a 5-2 scheme designed to slow down Alabama's running game. Florida tried it out against Tennessee  earlier this season and it seemed to work since it shut down Tauren Poole.

Florida's defense is not average, they are as good as advertised. They lead the nation in INT's with 12, so I doubt McElroy will be testing the secondary that often, which means the game will boil down to Fla's success with the 5-2 scheme against Bama's run game. Florida's offense has shown improvement every week so far and Brantley is getting more confident in his receivers but have they improved enough to score against Alabama on a consistent basis?

We know who Alabama is. They are an elite team but they have their flaws. Their secondary is talented but inexperienced so a quality passing game will expose them.

Florida on the other hand, they have yet to play a top 25 team, they have shown they can stop a quality run game but they will face their biggest test yet when they have to face Bama's run game. Florida's offense will need to show more improvement over last week if they want to compete in this one. They cannot afford to have their offense sputter in this one.

Alabama is a beatable team. You need to play mistake free football, and consistently score points. Their offense is going to score on you and their running game will get theirs. But if you have a quality passing attack and a defense that can slow Bama's offense and limit big plays then I think you have a good shot at beating Alabama.

I don't think Florida is the team to beat Alabama. Their offense is too inconsistent to put up enough points to beat Alabama. Florida's defense has looked great so far, and only gave up 14 points to a good offense in Kentucky however, Alabama will be a monster test for this defense and after this week we will see how truly good Florida's defense is.

I'm expecting a score like, Florida 17 Alabama 28

As a Florida fan though, I can't bet against them but I do have a great feel for this team and I know when Florida is in a bad spot and this is one of those bad spots.

Bama's secondary was hand picked by Saban. Exposed??  Doubtful.  This line is sharp and I don't see much movement come closer to game time.  Flordia has lost a ton a recruits this year to instate schools which doesn't mean squat...Right.  Wrong.  Pratice squads are what prep you for big games and you cann't simulate speed.   This is a re-match of the the SEC championship and i expect the score to be the same.  Alabama Rolls! 31 to 10

You can not run a 5-2 against alabama. 

Joolio Jones with 1 on 1 coverage. (HUGE Mistake).  And what on earth makes you think Alabama is not going to throw the football.  McElroy scared???  This kid is full of confidence (He's never EVER been beat)  He's thrown 8 touchdowns to 6 different recievers.   Just because you noticed the new 5-2 on your video game doesn't mean they're going to try and run it.  And praticing on TN isn't the same.  There are about 10 easier games to cap, but don't be on the wrong side of the chalk here.  This one get ugly early.

Not to mention Tuscaloosa will be rediculous.  NOBODY should think that Alabama will come out flat.  It's Monday and the RV's are already showing up.

Against a great QB.  Lets not forget that Mallet originally from Texarkana.  Started at michigan as a freshman.  My buddies played against him in Highschool and the kids a beast with a Cuttler type arm.  Cannon but no accuracy.  Did you see how many times he changed the play at the line?  Checked out of runs and threw the ball.  How many times the CB's were left 1 on 1 bc of the blitz.  Did you see how many points they scored in the 2nd half?
