Boise ST / N Ill - My number has this game right around a PK.  But that is with the mix of QB's N Ill has thrown out there this season.  Looks like choice #2 Ryan Graham is going to be the starter - at least it isn't Fielder who finished the season - he was absolutely clueless.  This should be an offensive struggle on both sides of the ball but with 8.5, my money is on N Ill.   Northern Illinois +8.5 1.5 units.

Ga Southern / Bowling Green - not much to say about this one - the line is 8, my number was right on 8, and I don't have much to add to that.  BG wins the MAC and gets to go to Alabama without a coach to play Ga Southern? If I had any guts I would take GS but I don't. Pass.  Gun to my head I would take under, but it wont get any of my money. 

WMU / Middle TN ST - Oh - the Bahamas Bowl.  You have come back.  My stats number has this right on 3.  WMU offense is the standout here - they should be able to put up big numbers through the air on Middle TN ST.  I was hoping to take WMU - but the number has moved to 4.5 and at that I think I will sit it out.  Pass.

Cincy / SDST - Another game that is very close to my number - but I will be playing SDST here.  The difference is that the Aztecs play defense - and Cincy does not.  As a matter of fact - on paper - SDST closely resembles the USF offense that put up like 50+ points in the first half against Cincy just a few weeks ago.  SDST -1 for 1.5 units.

That takes us through Christmas.

Regarding WKU/USF....  I see a lot of the better cappers here on USF, which is understandable as they are a good team that got better as the season wore on.   I like WKU personally....  I was one of the few that was on them laying the 7.5 against Southern Miss.   The biggest difference in them this year is that they can actually play some defense and aren't counting on the offense to just outscore everyone.  If you watched the Southern Miss game you saw that they started slow but adjusted to the man defense (they were expecting to see lots of zone) in the 2nd half and they took over.  

One factor that will decide if I play it for sure or not is the status of TE Tyler Higbee who will be tough for USF to cover.   He is Doughty's go-to guy to move the chains but he can also beat most LB's and Safetys deep

What people seem to forget is that these are OPINIONS. Believe what you want to believe.

You CAN NOT go "Hey, Van, your damn numbers aren't hitting 80%, 75%, 70%........" NOBODY is hitting that percentage EVER.

Also, please note how some bets are somewhat bigger for Van. Sometimes, you'll see a bet for 1.35 Units. If you bet the same amount every damn time, it is known as FLAT BETTING. Your better bettors (no, I did not stutter), do not do this. Most everyone will have a stronger opinions/numbers. If you try a King Of Covers contest, you'll notice you can bet 100 or 200 or 300 or 400 or 500 for the Spread and the Over/Under. Can you guess why?

Last, try and remember some of the words before/after the numbers rolled out. Van, and Scalabrine, will preface a pick/picks by posting a w/l record for the year, a current streak, or maybe (shudder) SOME TRUTH. Scal will tell you hey my college football picks are this, but my NBA picking is lacking or vice versa. Remember what Van said "A word of warning....  2015 has been terrible for me overall.  The last 6 weeks have been fantastic, but the 10 months before that have been terrible." (Post #45)
