Well, the squarest thing you can do is take a team -2.5. The second squarest thing you can do is take a team +2.5 when +3.5 was available. So, what are we to do???

We go with the home squad who has been phenomenal the second half the year on defense.

Big East doesnt get much respect as a Football Conference. The Cardinals only have 6 wins compared to Southern Miss with 8, so I understand the love for Southern Miss. I just dont feel the same way.

Louisville is one of the best defensive squads in the nation. They shut down the run. They shut down the pass. They do everything defensively.

Southern Miss? Yikes! That team cant stop anything. Powell, how do you not see this guy going off?? Froman is going to play, hes 100% better than he was 3 weeks ago. I just dont see Southern Miss here at all.

Talk about getting by on name recognition alone. Southern Miss is in for a long night, imo. This is a terrible matchup for these boys.

Yes, I was, absolutely. Every kid on each of those teams can take the starting spot from just about every kid on any CUSA team.

^ This is so true. I can't believe when I see people chase lines. It burns you in the longrun even if you might still cover once in awhile.

2.5 Units Utah/Boise Under 30 1st half

Just see a competitive game. Utah with the better defense, imo. Just a bit deep on the D Line. Expect Utah to try to run a bit, you dont really want Boise on the field on offense.

Semper - Thanks man. I didnt watch the game, but I gave that play out to a few friends last night and they said 20 minutes in they were ready to tear up their tickets, lol. I love the fact that football games have to go 60 minutes. It lets the talent separate from the people staying in the game on emotion and luck.

I sort of think Utah can pull a cover tonight, but this line has me in fits. This has got to be some sort of a suckers line, right? This has to be begging for Utah money? But then again, you put any # on the board and people want to take Boise here.

I cant take 16.5, so unless it goes to 17 again, I will just be sitting from the sidelines.

In short, I lean Utah, but I dont have the best feeling about it. This was one of the bowl games that came out and I saw the line and didnt lean any way. Being a dog player, I just have the propensity to play the big pup.

Boise could come out flat and unmotivated, but I think Petersen is the best coach in the country, so that is something that I have a hard time betting on.

Rain, yadda yadda yadda. Just think the time off leaves some rust on the offenses and the defenses come out fired up. Like the Utah run game against the Boise D. Like the Boise run game against the Utah D.

I was leaning Texas and Mizzou as well.  That Furman line has me    USC really that bad?  BOL with your plays.

I just think it has more to do with Furman taking that many steps forward....South Carolina was all Downey for 2 years. He is gone, so is their competitiveness, imo.
