One of my favorite gambling fallacies:
Make something sound easier by picking an arbitrary time period, and assigning an arbitrary value to it - and for bonus points assign a gambling strategy or staking strategy that gives you zero advantage (usually a disadvantage).
For instance:
You can pick at a higher percentage by only picking X games per Y. (x = 4, Y = day)
What if todays 8th best pick is tomorrows best pick?
And then - to make it worse (or better for me I guess) - you parlay these together.
And then - to make it even more worse (I almost have a boner at this point) - you "increase your bet size if you are winning".
For the uninitiated - this is a very good guide on a caveman looking up at the stars. Word salad. Nothing more.
And judging by most of the comments in this thread - there are a lot of cavemen left at Covers.
Some of those ED drug commercials feature a couple in a bathtub, or some guy talking to his doctor. They should make one with vanzack reading covers forums.
