miami is a cupcake..the whole acc is a cupcake conference this year.
tulsa is gonna hang tough with oklahoma. and if im WRONG I WILL admit it. but it looks like everyone here is comparing tulsa to army. There a decent team, their at home, their on national tv, and the other team has a freshman qb with his first start on the road.

Read it again.  I said Tulsa will (more than likely) not score more than twice on Saturday.  I see 20 points, at the most.  I'll be stunned if OU puts up less than 42.

Arg...meant to say Friday Night.  No one here is comparing Tulsa to Army.  I think the problem is nobody here is giving OU enough respect or credit (especially the defense).  If Paul Smith leads the Golden Hurricanes to two TDs on Friday, it will be a GOOD NIGHT for him.  Just because Tulsa moved up and down the filed on BYU, does not mean it will happen again on Friday Night.

if i remember in 05..tulsa actually gave the sooners a game in norman..it was 17-15 ou until 3 minuites left where ou scored 2 tds and one of them was at the end for a pic 6. they had adrian peterson who rushed for 200+ yards. the spread for that game was 31..this game opened at 20.5!...

i will leave you with this, the only thing that may stop oklahoma from winning the national championship is a freshman quarterback, i think they will roll texas and really cant see anyone beating them during the season. gl

Again, that was a totally different team in 05.  They had just come off a shocking, opening season loss.  This team has already found its identity, and Bradford is on fire, playing anything like a Freshman.  The dude is completing 80% of his passes (including the game against Miami).  When is the last time you heard of a percentage that high?  If Oklahoma had Bradford instead of Bomar in 05, the outcome would have probably been WAY different.

i respect ou, i just dont think tulsa is as bad as people are making them out to be. Both are good teams..ou has the big name and thats whats probably everyone is looking at. you expect ou to blow the shit out of tulsa, but will they? this is a freshmen qb here. he may have looked great against weak competition, but tulsa will be their toughest test yet!
i definitely see ou winning..but i dont see them winning by more than 21

The OU defense has been practicing against the OU offense which is way better than Tulsa's.  They will be ready to play, and their conditioning coach will have them ready for it too.  Tulsa is outmatched here in every category.

DMAC- right there with you.  You might check out the 1st half line as a way to increase your returns with much less risk.

Badlands - No reason to spar anymore, you have placed your bets and we have placed ours.  Now all we can do is wait for the game.  BOL on the rest of your plays, maybe you can make up the 5 units else where.

    SOONERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sooner - I feel a lot more comfortable with the full game line this Friday.  OU's massive, solid OL should be just dominating Tulsa's defensive front by the middle of the 3rd Quarter.

I love how people are talking about this game like it's going to be a shootout.  Unreal how much disrespect OU's phenomenal defense is getting right now.  Somebody in here please tell me how Tulsa has any chance of holding OU under 45 points, when they got into a scoring fest with BYU, and simply could not stop the Cougars.

Now, Tulsa faces an extremely physical Sooner team, that will run and run and run, until Tulsa's defenders are dragging their feet.  On top of that, Oklahoma's sound running game will keep Smith and the Tulsa Offense off the field and out of rhythm, while simultaneously keeping the OU defense fresh and rested.

    GL all Sooner backers!

how can you say that yet with the teams they have played and a freshman qb?  i think they will be in the end, but to put them in that group now is a little premature.

i don't think the sooners defense will be exhuasted i think tulsa defense will be more than likely exhuasted.  sooners has a power running game that can chew the clock and keep tulsa offense off the field and a passing threat that should be able to go deep on the tulsa secondary that gave up a ton of yards to BYU.  as far as tulsa offense they aren't built to grind it out to tire the sooners defense. Tulsa offense is built to make big plays if the sooners eliminate bigs play tulsa will have a hard time scoring.  although Smith is capable of making those plays if the sooners come out flat.  but i just don't see that happening no unless the sooners are in a look ahead matchup with colorado in conference opener.  that's why i think it'll be a backdoor cover for tulsa.  stoops should jump out ahead and takes his starters out in the second half.

and so people don't get it confused tulsa isn't a slow team so sooners speed shouldn't be a factor they all have the same recruiting ground only difference is tulsa has to take the pick of the litter from alot of big 12 south teams

oh i agree tulsas defense will get beat up and shredded, but i can see a pic or two from the freshman and paul smith will get his points, if its a backdoor cover so be it, by game time i may be getting 26 or 27.  they arent just big plays with tulsa, they are capable of throwing 6 and 7 yard passes down the field.

i'm hoping is goes past 24 to be honest i'm on tulsa i'm just giving my opinion on the game cause i've watch both tulsa games.  at home they should get the back door cover.  what i invision in worst case scenario tulsa being down 30 with 5 minutes to play with the ball.  they get a late td and lose by 23 24 points. this is the worst case scenario in my opinion.  but if they don't get the late td atleast i still have a chance to get he cover and be in the game at the end.  i just see oklahoma putting on the brakes this weekend after massive blowouts in the first 3 contest.  final score 45-21 somewhere around there.  maybe less really can't say what you'll get from oklahoma but i know tulsa will play balls out.
