TULSA +2___  (however high it gets by gametime)

won my 5 unit pick with boston college last week easily.

ok to the game.  i know, i know, oklahoma cant be beat, they have crushed their first two opponents by a combined score of 95-16 and no one will beat them.  certainly understandable to see 80% on them out of the gate.  their quarterback is completing a rediculous 80% of his passes and has 11/1 touchdowns.
now its time to get back to reality, no doubt he is good and no doubt they could very well run  the table but this number is to high and will only get higher.  the utah state game needs no mention for it was utah state.   as for the miami game, lets be honest, this isnt your fathers miami team and their starting quarterback should not have even been the starter in that game.  so lets not lable oklahomas defense the best in the country yet.
paul smith is a great college quarterback and there offense is designed to score and score in bunches.  they were dogs against a very good byu team and won outright.  my play is being made soley on the fact they will score points.  this game is at home and a big game for smith as he showcases himself for the next level.  sooners freshman quarterback will get his first introduction to a hostile crowd and should be good for a pic or two.  throw in the fact this is an instate game and back in 05' tulsa covered the 31 rather easy in oklahoma. even if oklahoma scores 45 in this game they wont cover this inflated number.  gl tulsa +23 or even higher i would imagine come friday.

loving tulsa...friday night home dog again just like last week
oklahoma has not played ANY COMPETITION
ZIP NADA ZERO..tulsa is probably the best team they will be facing all year
public will be on oklahoma like white on rice, but guess what they'll get eaten up. Bradford first road game against a decent team. He wont have the same stats hes been gettin on the likes of north texas utah st and miami(rebuilding year, new coach, no qb, no defense = shitty)
hopefully this line keeps jumping up..pound the hurricanes!

Wow, this is the Friday night game?  Awesome. I can't bet against Oklahoma, eventhough +20 sounds sexy.

Several reasons to be careful here

Tulsa athletes can't hang with OU.  By the end of the game their D-Line is gonna be pounded into the dirt, OU will run all over these guys.  Pass protection is solid, Bradford has been sacked like 1 or 2 times all season.  He'll have time to throw to Malcolm Kelly, Juaquin Iglesias, Jermaine Gresham, and Joe Jon Finley.  Allen Patrick, DeMarco Murray, Chris Brown will all have big games running against this D.

Sam Bradford haas been solid in the pocket, 824 yards, 80% comp., 11-1, two new school passing records, 22 and 21 consecutive completions.   Admittedly the teams they have played have been weak, but he has some skills.

The hostile environment is not necessarily so hostile.  Tulsa is 100 miles from Norman and there will be a sizeable OU fan base at the game.  Bradford played High School ball in OKC and I am certain games at the Tulsa High schools.

OU's defense is still as yet untested but they have played remarkably wellagainst everyone so far.  Their D is much tougher than BYU's so this won't be a shootout.

They haven't posted yet but the 1/2 time lines will probably be the safest play especially if you like the total.  Stoopsa doesn't pile on the points in the second half and tries to do most of the scoring before halftime.  With a game spread of 21, the haltime shoud be 14-17.

Also watch out for a back door score by Tulsa late when OU plays 2nd and 3rd teamers once the game is in hand.

i certainly respect your opinion but i disagree.  there is 1 friday night game with 81% on one side.  vegas isnt setting themselves up for okie to blast them all year.  its easy to get caught up in the cupcakes okie has played.  last week 80% were on oklahoma state to pound troy in the ground and we all saw what happened.  im not saying tulsa will win, i just expect a good game with okie pulling away in the 4th with a true road test.  as i said in my write up, this is purely a play on tulsas offense, i have no doubt oklahoma will score points.  back in 05' the same things were said in norman and tulsa came to play.

Im all over it. The line is up to +24 on beted. tulsa is a dangerous team, people just dont get a chance to see them play. Their style is similar to Texas Tech with more no huddle and they're not afraid of fourth and short situations. I just dont see them loosing by more than 3 TDS. +24 holds alot of value. Okla has to fail to cover ats at some point. Looking at the schedule this looks like a good time. also like the ov.

My local is offering me 24 right now and is imagining he will give me higher by tomorrow.  He deals with about 80 clients and he received at least 15 wagers on the game yesterday... 1 being on Tulsa.  Lol.  Not sure what I am taking on the game though.  Could be close to the number.  I follow the Sooners, Gators and Noles very closely.  OU is sick in ever aspect of the game.  Stoops will have them ready.  I had them winning it all from the start.  We will see.  GL.

i absolutely agree they are sick and very well could win it all

every national champion since the beginning of time though has those games where they are tested and squeak by a game they should win easily, usually its those in state games

i would also like to add one other point to this game.  tulsa's offense is in much better physical shape than okies defense for the sheer fact okie hasnt had to play defense that much this year, a lot of 3 and outs against these cupcakes.  tulas has been running up and down the field since spring ball.  someone made the point tulsas defense will be tired in the second half, its the other way around.  oklahomas defense will be spread out the whole game running all around.  they will be the tired ones in the second half.

Tulsa looks good.  Betus has 'em at +24 and they've usually got the most favorable 'dog lines around.  I'd imagine this could get close to 27 by Friday.  I'll be on Tulsa, but not betting it until about 2 minutes before kickoff.

I love your line about every national champion being tested at least a couple times a year by teams they should roll.  It will be interesting to see how OU reacts if the game is close in the second half.

Trust me alot of people are looking at Tulsa on friday.  I'm also leaning heavily on this but here me now this game won't be pretty the Sooners defense will keep Tulsa on check and Paul Smith has tendencies to force throws.  I see OU up but 28 with 5 minutes to play and tulsa getting a late touchdown for a backdoor cover.  only thing that favors Tulsa in this matchup is they are playing at home their defense is still a joke oklahoma will put up numbers against them so aslong as Smith can limit bad plays tulsa should get this cover.  I won't take anything less than 24 though.  i still see the sooners winning by 21

sooners defense will be exhausted in the second half, i can see oklahoma winning by 17 but with a late touchdown to go up 17  either way gl.  i just absolutey love the fact this line opened at 20.5, just baiting everyone and their mother to take oklahoma.

They are replaying the BYU Tulsa game alot this week on the various cable networks.  I caught some of it last night.  Before betting,  you might want to watch how they play against BYU.

Defense - Their pass rush didn't get any serious pressure that I saw, BYU ran the ball for 10+ yards on numerous occasions sometimes even back to back running plays they would get 7-10 yards each time.  Their DB's are decent, but BYU was still able to complete alot of tight throws and even some not well thrown balls.

Offense - their O-line wasn't very impressive, Smith got sacked a few times or had to scramble alot to keep from getting sacked. I didn't notice how well they ran the ball.

QB - Smith was 21 of 35, with 5 TD's.  Watching him he  seemed wild with some of his passes, trying to force them or just throwing it away to avoid the sack. Overall, his was not as impressive and commanding a performance as 5 td's makes it sound.

1st half line is +13.5 If you like Tulsa to cover the game spread you might consider OU at the half.

Overall I think people are giving way too much credit to Tulsa, I wasn't impressed after watching them.  Just a thought, if you're willing to invest your money, why not 2-3 hours to see them play before betting.  Anyway I'm on OU for the 1st half  and I can get 21.5 for the game, so I'm on that too.  Waiting to see what the O/U is before laying anymore.
