SFST is one of the best Trey defensive teams in the nation.....

BAMA relies HEAVILY on the 3 ball and BAMA is on neutral floor which factors into my take..

I see a tight defensive game where points will be at a premium .....

I will gladly take the 4th ranked defense with a top tier offense any day over a top 15 defense with an offense that struggles.

I think the point is slow down the game play rough aggrerssive D and don't allow Bama to run where they can pull away

sdsu does nothing better than bama, bama has to kind of beat themselves here. sdsu has to limit possessions so they will play slow as molasses like usual but even slower I spose. I hope they are leading at the half, bama turns it on in 2nd half

And let's not forget that Bama is a long team and defends the perimeter better than anyone, 3rd in the nation!

Bama also crashes the offensive boards better than anyone, 1st in the nation.

This is a nightmare matchup for San Diego St, on both ends of the floor.

Because sdsu is a deep physical team full of men and mass. Fantastic perimeter defense vs teams teams that can shoot, unlike the sec (collectively). They won't be afraid to play uptempo or slow it down. Sdsu will force bama into turnovers because they're highly susceptible in doing so. They'll fight on the boards. And oats said it himself, they struggle with physical teams and that's what sdsu is.

Blown out by AZ by 17...Lost by 7 to St Mary's and lost a close OT game to Arky by 4....Bama is the best team they will have faced all season....Hard to tell if SDSU is overrated as they have really beaten NOBODY other than their MWC opponents and we all know how the other 3 teams who got in the tourney did.... When you say losing all but only 1 by 7 or more makes no sense as they played only 3 teams of note worthy and were 0-3 with only 1 close game.  

San Diego is red hot, tone of people pick them cover the spread

with a little more thought sdsu seems like a good pick. dont forget they are quite a bit more experienced than bama's young team and if refs allow sdsu to be a bit grimy then hmm.

They strung together 5 wins against average opponents.

Not hard to do when you play in a very weak league and had one of the easier draws in the first 2 rounds.
