Sparty v.s. Purdue for Sunday...

1-1 with the Michigan game going pretty much exactly how I thought it would, even the -10 on the boards.  Oh yeah, an Arkansas shit the bed, for Sunday....

Michigan State -3....I hardly ever lay points on the road, and up until the Thursday night/Friday morning incident with Byrd and Barlow I was planning on playing Purdue in this game.  But losing them is HUGE for the Boilers.  They're not a very deep or talented team with these two guys, so I don't think they can overcome this v.s. a red-hot Sparty team.   Plus, how is the team chemistry gonna be now for PU?  The "Paint Crew" will be loud, but in the end the surperior talent and coaching advantage should win out. MSU by about 8 or so.

Also on:

gmen8090 - Byrd is suspended indefinitely and Barlow was kicked off the team.  From what I've heard, they were at a bar and Barlow got into a little scuffle.  Don't know how familiar with Barlow you are, but he's been in trouble quite a bit during his PU career.  So the rumor is when the cops showed up, Byrd took the all the blame trying to "save" Barlow.  Byrd ends up getting cuffed and brought to jail and charged with public intoxication.  This is what I've heard, don't know how accurate it is, but Byrd will definitely be out tomorrow and Barlow is definitely kicked off the team 

Why Tenn state?

It's more of a fade of Miami, OH than it is a bet no Tennessee State.

Congrats on the parlay win.  I just think Miami,OH is a pretty bad team this year.  They've had some good MAC seasons in the past, but they're way down this season.  By my count, the Red Hawks have already lost 4 home games SU this year as a fav and now they face a hot Tenn St team that won at Murray St a week-and-a-half ago and followed that win with a convincing win over Tenn Tech in what was a huge letdown spot.  Also, TSU has a very respectable 6-8 road record.  Good luck tomorrow 

I could see that under hitting.  My entire outlook on this game changed with what happened to Byrd and Barlow.  I was gonna be all over PU, but you take those 2 guys from that team, and I really don't know how they're gonna respond.  But I'm fairly confident they're gonna be worse.  MSU may shoot 55% from the field 'cuz they're just gonna dominate down low.
