My Terps at Temple this morning

18-10-1 on Terp games this season

Terps travel to Temple this morning to take on a Temple team that beat Dook a few weeks ago.  Terps looked like shit in the 2nd half of their game at FSU ealrier this week.  I am very bothered by Stoglin.  Bothered by his unwillgness to share the ball, bothered by the fact that he shoots 50% of the time he touches the ball.....just bothered.  Honestly, I don't think I like the kid and images of John Gilchrist and all his bullshit keep flashing into my head.  Realistically, we so much live and die by what he does that I don't see us being any good this season if something doesn't change as it concerns Stoglin.  It's that serious.   I focus on it because Temple has very good guards and if things go like they have all season, Stogs will gun away, get his 25 and we will lose by 15.  It's really that simple.

We should have a slight advantage on the boards unless Temple gets Michael Eric back which I read might be a possibility.  Len has disappeared for us since we stop playing the cupcakes and if it weren't for Padgett and Pankey, we'd really be getting crushed inside.  I haven't ever seen a 7'1" guy get stuffed, hung on the rim and just manhandled like our Ukranian secret weapon but to see his lack of strength and back to the basket game is demoralizing.  Temple plays up temp, different than what they typically are known for.  Home crowd will make the environment tough.

Neither team plays good defense which is very weird to say about Temple historically for sure.  I think the Terps will get caught up in the emotion and play faster than they should.  I don't like a side here becuase I have no idea what shows up for us.  I see some guys playing under 150 for the game which is perplexing because all I see is 145-146 everywhere????  Anyway, I am going over and counting on the Terps to think they need to get up and down, try to match up with guards they can't match up with and assuming we have little to no half court offense worth a shit.

Oh....and the fucking assistant crackhead that has all the ties to the DC and Baltimore AAU teams got a DUI yesterday or the day before and the Terps have suspended him.  Make $500k a year and can't afford a cab.  It just gets better. 

Play over 145 (double play)

You're right.  Picking about 70% on Terp plays for about four years in a row now is poor.  I think last year I picked totals in their games at about a 85% rate.  Clearly the game start time doesn't concern me......that's why I played the over.  Tail if you'd like.

If you want an indication that MOST people on this board tail other people's plays, check out how many people haven't done anything but copy someone else's play by going under 150 in this game.  The total has never been anywhere close to that number.  It oopened about 146, Covers has every book at 145/145.5 right now and yet, the play of the morning is under 150......is that like -150 or something?   Is that a teaser?

Folks, if you are going to pass it off as something you capped, actually played, put some thought into, etc., at least be within 4 points of where the actual line is when you post your plays.

LOL...thanks.  Our lack of D, lack of quality opponents so far and very inconsistent scoring has made picking our totals much tougher so far this season than the last three seasons.  That being said, 18-10-1 is still 62%.  I like to be 70%+ but there is still plenty of time to get there for anyone who typically tails my Terp plays.

What gets me is guys are still posting it which just tells me they really aren't playing it or at least aren't posting the line they are actually getting.  I saw someone say it "was only 150 for about 15 minutes."  Really?  It says it opened at 145.5, it hasn't been anything outside a point of that every time I've looked, I got 145, it's now 144.5 at my book but there was a 15 minute window where it just happened to jump up 5 points, then right back down????

Come on.  You wonder how much of this goes on because as much of a difference as one or two points can make in betting CBB, guys could have records that are 10% better than they should be just shading the lines they post on here.  Especially if you are willing to really blow it up and say you got a line 5 points better 

I don't get it.  Why bash other cappers for the number they post? The game could go to 151 making them a loser anyway?

BTW, here's what I saw from vegasinsider.  Betonline did have 150 at one point.

You too Train.  Never seen that but I respect that you have.  That being said, this wasn't directed at any person in particular and was more a statement of how many people likely don't make the plays they post becuase if you got that line and the window was that small, they could not have gotten the same line if all they are doing is copying your play.  I'd assume the play originated with either you or one or two other guys and then a bunch of ass clowns posted it and never got the line you may have slipped in on.
