they did play like crap but they are a quality team pretty much built for this tournament- when we shockingly lost that penn st game i think beilien more or less thru in the towel for reg season champ hopes and started getting everyone ready for the big dance...with public perception this low i will hop on the wolverines here sdsu is a nice story but thurs will be a wake up call for them

I agree, I think Michigan will win this game going away. Michigan would struggle with them if SDST slowed the game down but they seem to like to run which will play right into Michigans hands.
Michigan seems to struggle against slower paced teams, not so much against teams that like to play at a faster pace.

people are making a mistake looking at how teams played other teams out of conference back in November and December , any team that shoots as well as Sds has a chance to win SU i wouldn't discount them .

Are you kidding me??? You are a damn fool to bring up that Minn game. Wolters didnt play in the Minnesota game as he had a sprained ankle. He was also still hurting in the Belmont game but played thru it, SDSU was ice cold that game 3-21 from 3. Also dont forget SDSU went to New Mexico and beat them their. If Michigan comes in over confident they can surely loose to SDSU, especially if Chad White and Brayden Carlson are hot from 3 pt land.

Actually South Dakota State has played 4 teams that are in this years tourney.
Minnesota (Lost 88-64, without Wolters)
Belmont (Lost 76-49, with Wolters not 100%)
New Mexico (Won 70-65, at New Mexico #16 at the time)
Montana (Won 68-67, at Montana)
By the way that is my biggest pet peive is when people make stupid posts like this, when truely they have no clue.

I see this as a Michigan win by no more than 10. Tough line.
Over 138 is my choice as I believe this hits the 140's.
If the Jackrabbits are leading after the half I will take UM second half.
I'm a homer too but Michigan has been slow to start and letting teams compete 1st half.
I hope you are right. Would love to see the boys start huge. They have plenty of rest and don't travel far.

It's no secret Michigan doesn't have the style to play in the Big 10. They aren't physical down low. They like to run up tempo. But they have strong guard play and they can get super hot from the 3. Playing at the Palace of Auburn Hills will almost be like a home game for them. I think they can beat VCU. After that I'd be surprised if they went any further.
