Okay here it goes .... I like to shoot the gap to have action on the game sometimes.
The HT line in Iowa - Oregon
MGM had it @ 130.5 Ov -105 for 2.1 units risked to win 2 units
Bet365 had it @ 133.5 Un -110 for 2.2 units risked to win 2 units
At the 15:37 mark in the 2H, it was 41-34
At this time, book 365 posted a cash-out of 3.85 units (of a possible 4.2) ... before I could double-click, it went off.
Now I am watching both books because at this time I am thinking a 3-point middle on totals is not really good enough, and I am regretting my play because I am thinking Under Will Be a winner, so I wait a few more seconds.
Then book MGM posts the line at 138.5 and offers me a cash out of 2.7152 units. I clicked as fast as I could ....boom .6152 unit profit
Within seconds after they jerk the line back down to 131.5
I switch back to 365 posts, hoping the cash-out is still over 3 units, but it is 2.52, so I click it to be safe and be guaranteed a profit ... it goes through ... boom .32 units profit
Now, when they come out of the time out, the game speeds up ... and within minutes the line starts jumping up135.5, and by the 10-minute mark it is 138.5 with MGM
The game ends at 150
My point is that the 2 teams were averaging about 3.1 pts per minute, and after the time-out for the rest of the game, they averaged 4.84 per minute
Was the 138.5 line by MGM put in by mistake, or too early because they knew or heard something during the timeout?
If only I had taken the I cash out, and then quickly bet it all on the over when they dropped it to 131.5, now that would have been genius.
I did profit 1.352 units overall... so I am not whining ... but someone knew the game was going to speed up and MGM blinked by posting the 138.5 line too early.
What do any of you all think? You know what I am thinking. ![]()
