How can you not like Duke tonight...

The fact that the line is so low, and the public will be pounding Duke makes me a little nervous, however I just can't rationalize Duke not being the play.

1.  Revenge Factor (Duke rarely ever loses to a team twice in a season, they are going to be hungry for this one.

2.  Fighting for a 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.  (Duke is currently ranked fourth in the country, and one of the few teams left fighting for a number 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.  With a second loss to FSU they can kiss that goodbye.)

3.  Fighting for ACC Championship.  (Currently there is a 3 way tie atop the ACC between Duke, North Carolina, and FSU.  With a win over FSU here Duke puts themselves in position to win, as they have already won at UNC.  Coach K puts a great deal of pride into winning the ACC, and wants another crown.)

4.  Duke is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games, while FSU is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games.  FSU has had a couple of very close games against mediocre competition.


I know Duke has fought back from some huge deficits, but they will be focused and ready for this one.  I expect Duke to play hard defense, and hit some 3's.  

Right or wrong, play I don't know how you can take FSU in this one...

Dukies -1.5 (You can be sure this line will be closer to -2.5 or even -3 by gametime.)

I just took Duke -1.5 myself. I absouletly agree with everything you said. Hope all is well with you buddy. Go Duke

Duke hates teams that play tough D.

Especially on the road, where Coach Kytswefbertzkiwicz can't get home cooking late in the game.

I agree with you completely woop, i just got it at -3 already and wouldn't be surprised to see it even higher by gametime

I ALREADY PLAYED A 100 TIMER ON THEM THATS 500 BIG ONESALL FSU DID THE FIRST TIME WAS PISS DUKE OFF!!!! ANTY UP BEFORE THE LINE GOES TO DOUBLE DIGITS RUN WITH IT GRAB SOME OF THAT CASH!!!!!

I agree Duke should win but it won't be easy. Duke wins at the free throw line at the end if the game.

my 2 cents, how do you NOT like FSU at HOME?  They already did the hardest part, beating Duke at their place.  FSU now has all the confidence of already beating Duke, at Duke.  Not a fluke, FSU is a very good team.  I have watched Duke a few times this season, they are not the Duke of past.  As always, jmho.  I am all over FSU tonight.

I am still seeing -2 at almost all of the major online sportsbooks. 

-3 sounds high, I would look around for better lines...

And to all stating that this isn't your "typical Duke team" They have their SOS is 3rd in the country, and they are 23-4.  Wins over #5 Kansas #6 MSU #7 UNC #11 Michigan.  (Losses @ #8 Ohio State, @ #22 Temple, #15 FSU... one bad loss to Miami... who is a bubble team)

I don't see where this ranks as a "weak" Duke team.  If anything this Duke team has multiple weapons instead of the 1 or 2 superstars a la (Singler, Scheyer, Redick, Henson, and so on...)

There is not one bit of actual on court analysis of any kind, anywhere in this entire thread. Everything said here by all posters is complete crap. 

Revenge this, pissed them off that, fighting for a number 1 seed, never lose twice to the same team, each teams record ATS in last 5 games. For the love of god none of that means anything folks. Look at actual on the court match up's and how each team plays. Can Duke's half court offense get it done against FSU's incredible half court defense. Are Duke's big men good enough to handle the FSU big men inside? Will the Duke guards actually be able to penetrate and kick out to open shooters for 3's? 

Those of you betting on Duke tonight are likely headed for a mass slaughtering, and all b/c you don't know what the hell to look for when betting a game.

I like FSU yes, and I wouldn't say that i'm back. Still not sure i'll be posting any plays, but just browsing the board this morning saw all the garbage. Had to say something.

I'm here to talk hoops. Not interested in all the other garbage. I'm not here to make friends. If I rub people the wrong way, so be it. This is college basketball betting forum, lets get some perspective.

Duke is 2-6 ATS in last 8 in FSU.... But FSU is 4-10 in last 14 SU at home against DUKE.... with the -1.5 spread it is bough. Gut says Duke... whens the last time duke lost to the same team twice in a season? Had to be UNC ?
