Ok I researched the system over the last week and the record was 85-86. I don't think I'll be playing this one.

I've noticed that in college most of the games go under too. Wayyyy more than the NBA. The games where I notice the game to go over are usually high paced teams where the O/U is usually around 140-150. I could believe that this system could work in the long run, cuz I've played Over way too many times, and I coulda sworn that I've only hit an over just a few times. Like the Ivy League on Friday. Every game went under that day except the Marist game where the O/U was 139.5.

pick a conference and run the numbers to see which hits the most percentage. This of course will be skewed in early out of conference plays...also to late in the year to try it now as all totals are screwed as a lot of teams are trying to dance...while others will be sitting out of the dance...play them or don't play them...but don't bash the guy for trying to help out...use your math...with the platform that has been laid out in front of you.

first, let me say i hate systems.  second, i think there might be some merit to this one.  i think that a lot of time people might look at totals and say "wow thats so low" and take the over and vice versa.  theres no way in hell this hits at 79% but im gonna definitely run the numbers myself for february of this year just to see how its going for this month so far.  ill be back later on today with a report for you guys. ill also try and get conferences and see what conferences it holds more true for.  (mvc big ten known as low scoring conferences acc sec as higher scoring ones)

looked into this a little bit more i got a total of 63-54 from feb 1st to feb 16.  i did not do wednesdays and saturdays yet but i will.  these are using closing lines and you might have been able to win more games if you were able to predict the line moves correctly.  there were a few pushes that i didnt count in the record.  this is hitting about 54%

Papicker -- Whats a good gauge as far as line movement on over/unders determining on takin an over or an under ? Example : line on over/under is 143 and say line moves 2 points to 141 do you look at takin the under more or do you fade the movement ? same with the over 143 moves 2 pts to 145 , do lean on takin the over or fade ? Just curious ? Thanks !!

im just going for the raw numbers right now and using the closing lines.  if i get the 2 wednesdays and 3 saturdays in the time period and i see that this "system" is at least some what effective then i will look into it further in terms of conference etc.

my guess is for high scoring teams they set the total high to get action on the under and so more than often the over hits, and vice versa for low scoring teams...
 
I think its a vegas angle more than anything...

little update did the 2 wednesdays in february and got 27-30 total not that good so that brings the overall total to 90-84 not counting the 3 saturdays in february so far.

Thanks Frank..... this is the kind of input that I look for in covers forums.... I wish people who disagree would understand they do not have to play Frank's system.... bashing posters with new or different ideas hurts everyone... posters just do not want to share their thoughts if they know they are going to get flamed in here. If you disagree, just state your point politely please. I am going to do some research on this for myself..... thanks for sharing it with us Frank..

36-29 feb 16th so have to do 2nd and 9th so that brings total to 126-113 about 52.7%

what about just going over the highest total of the day and under the lowest?  how does that one play out over time?

I dont think anyone in this thread has bashed at all.

The guy comes in with a HUGE number and a bold statement, it is in poor form to let other members THINK that this system produces 79% winners because it just doesnt.

Questioning and verifying someones claim isnt bashing, and it is for the GOOD of the site.

I don't think anyone is bashing, just pointing out it's more likely to hit at a 50/50 clip. You guys can tail this system if you like, just trying to give you a heads up. Those that have done the research for this month said it hit around 50%, pretty far off from his 79% claim. Just don't like bogus posters.

its not a bad system....79% is far-fetch though..although frank the tank claims its a grind session..
 
If it hits at 55% and up, I don't see anything negative about that..
 
On the 18th, that system went 7-3....70% 
On the 17th, that system went 4-2.....66%
On the 16th, that system went 37-24......(yes, i'm that bored at work. LOL)  (Give or take 2 or so losses..I started getting tired) 60%
 
Its a ridicously interesting system...today will be the first day of this to check it out
 
Bowling Green at Ohio - U 125
Purdue at Indiana - U 132.5
Wichita St. at Indiana St. - U 120.5
Akron at Miami (OH) - U 124
Georgia at Kentucky - U 130.5
Missouri St. at Creighton - U 129

Understand Chase....  I don't think a system exists with that high of a percentage either....  and I like most on here would never blindly follow any system posted...  It does look very interesting though; and the logic behind why the o/u numbers are posted by the books is solid IMHO... Snakebit said it best in his post....

I just went back to December 31, 2007 and came up with 515-486 - about 51.45%.  These are based off the closing numbers on covers.  It does appear that the smaller the card is, the better it has done..example - Tuesdays and Fridays have generally done better then Saturdays and Wednesdays (the big cards).  Interesting for sure.  It appears there are about 8 plays that fit this system tonight...I am looking forward to what happens and may have to throw a unit on each of them to see how she goes

189-176 is the total for february 1-16th that puts it at about 51.7% which is good enough to lose in the long run.  i did notice like this guy did that it appears to do better on the smaller cards then the bigger ones.
