Opening line

Missouri +28, Over/Under 55.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 6:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Shortly before kickoff, Alabama is at -28.5 at BetMGM Nevada, right where the number opened. However, early sharp play on Missouri took that line down to -26.5, then the public piled in late and pushed it to -29 earlier today. "We need Missouri," BetMGM's Jeff Stoneback said. "Ticket count is 6/1 and money 3/1 on Alabama."

UPDATE 5:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Alabama has gone from -27.5 Monday to -29.5 today at FanDuel, and it is all 'Bama on the spread. Despite the huge number, the Crimson Tide are attracting 87 percent of bets and 92 percent of money for tonight's season opener. The total has been fairly steady at 55.5, but the Over is taking 85 percent of bets and 82 percent of dollars.

UPDATE 10 A.M. ET SATURDAY: The Crimson Tide opened -28 at William Hill US, ticked to -27.5, then reached -28.5 Friday night. "We're gonna need Alabama for a lot," William Hill US director of trading Nick Bogdanovich said. "Every bet is on Alabama."

UPDATE 4 P..M ET FRIDAY: DraftKings Sportsbook pegged Alabama -23.5 last week, and that number eached -28.5 earlier today, before dipping a notch to 28. The Crimson Tide are taking 76 percent of bets and 67 percent of money on the point spread. The total went from 55.5 to 56.5, and although tickets are overwhelmingly on the Over (87 percent), only 60 percent of money is taking the Over.

UPDATE 1 A.M. ET THURSDAY: Alabama was at -28.5 last week at FanDuel and is now at -27.5, but point-spread betting is all Alabama thus far. The Crimson Tide are landing 86 percent of bets and 95 percent of money, and bettors are similarly piling on the Over, at 85 percent of tickets/88 percent of money. The total opened at 55.5 and ticked to 56.5 before returning to the opener late Wednesday night.

---

The first move at PointsBet USA was from Alabama -28 to -27, and the total ticked from 55.5 to 55, but there was nothing to report in the way of early action Monday.

Opening line

Mississippi +13, Over/Under 60

Why the line moved

UPDATE 11:45 A.M. ET SATURDAY: At FanDuel Sportsbook, Florida went from -13.5 to -15.5 this week and is currently -14.5. The Gators are landing 63 percent of point-spread bets and 70 percent of money.

UPDATE 10 A.M. ET SATURDAY: "We're definitely gonna need Mississippi," William Hill US's Bogdanovich said. Much of that need will be due to teaser and moneyline parlay play on the Gators, who spent much of the week at -14, after opening -14.5.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET THURSDAY: The Gators moved from -13.5 to -12.5 a week ago, climbed to 14.5 early this week and are now -14 at DraftKings. Florida is landing 62 percent of bets and 77 percent of cash. Betting on the total is two-way with a lean to the Over, which is attracting 54 percent of bets/57 percent of dollars.

UPDATE 1 A.M. ET THURSDAY: Florida moved from -12.5 last week to -15.5 Monday at FanDuel, then reverted to -13.5 by Wednesday in a game drawing two-way spread action. The Gators are attracting 60 percent of bets, but the money is split 50/50.

---

Both the line and the total were on the move Monday at PointsBet USA. Florida shifted from -13 to -14.5, while the total dropped from 60 to 57. "Two decent-sized adjustments in this one," Eichner said.

Opening line

Oklahoma -27, Over/Under 59

Why the line moved

UPDATE 11:45 A.M. ET SATURDAY: Point-spread ticket count and money are running 2/1 on the Sooners, who opened -26.5 and reached -28.5, before peeling back a bit to -27.5. The total moved from 59.5 to 61.5, and bettors are piling on the Over, with 81 percent of tickets and 89 percent of money.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Sooners moved from -27 to -28.5, then back to -28 at DraftKings, and the point-spread betting splits today are quite interesting. Oklahoma is getting 59 percent of tickets, but big underdog Kansas State is garnering 74 percent of dollars. There's much more consensus on the total, which is up negligibly from 60 to 60.5, but is seeing 92 percent of early tickets and 96 percent of early money on the Over.

UPDATE 4:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: FanDuel opened the Sooners -26.5 and actually went to -25.5 first, then made a leap straight to -28.5 Monday morning. The line has been pinned to 27.5 since Tuesday, with Oklahoma taking 66 percent of spread bets and 62 percent of spread dollars. The total toggled between 59.5 and 60.5 most of the week so far, and though it's currently 59.5, the Over is being bet as if the game has already been played, drawing 96 percent of tickets and 99 percent of money.

---

The Sooners got an early betting shove at PointsBet USA, moving from -27 to -28.5. The total ticked up a notch to 59.5 Monday.

Why the line moved

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Over the past week at FanDuel, Georgia moved from -26.5 to -28.5, then to -27.5. It's actually two-way play on this monster point spread, with 55 percent of bets on the Bulldogs and 51 percent of money on the Razorbacks.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Over the course of this week, Georgia moved from -26.5 to -28, then back to -27.5, and point-spread betting is running strong to the big favorite. The Bulldogs are drawing 71 percent of bets and 89 percent of money. The total moved from 53 to 54.5, with ticket count almost dead even; however, counter to the movement, the Under is getting 87 percent of the cash.

UPDATE 4:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Georgia opened -24.5 at FanDuel and surged to -28 by today, before dialing back to 27.5. The Bulldogs are attracting 57 percent of bets and 76 percent of money so far. Texas Tech +16.5, Over/Under 69

Why the line moved

UPDATE 3:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Eric Osterman, manager and oddsmaker at The SuperBook at Westgate, said the Longhorns opened -17 and moved to -18, then went back to -17.5. But it's all Texas today. UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Texas moved from -16.5 to -18, then ticked to -17.5 at BetMGM. "Ticket count is 2/1 and money 4/1 on Texas," BetMGM's Scott Shelton said. "And there are a lot of parlays and teasers on Texas."

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Texas initially dipped from -17.5 to -16.5 at DraftKings, then peaked at -18.5 before ticking to -18 Thursday. The Longhorns are taking 71 percent of tickets and 70 percent of dollars on the spread. And though it's a big total, opening at 69.5 and moving to 70.5, 65 percent of bets and 73 percent of dollars are on the Over.

UPDATE 4:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: This line has bounced around at FanDuel this week, opening Texas -17.5, dropping to -15.5, then climbing to 18.5 before dipping back to the opener this afternoon. Texas is drawing 77 percent of tickets and 65 percent of money on the spread. And the public is taking moneyline fliers on Texas Tech +520, which is getting 55 percent of bets and 80 percent of the money.

PointsBet USA moved this line 1.5 points to Texas -18 by Monday afternoon.

Opening line

LSU -18.5, Over/Under 54.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 3:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Just before kickoff, LSU is down to -14 at The SuperBook, after opening -16.5. However: "There's not much sharp action on the game," Osterman said. "We're getting some really good public action on both sides. Not much of a decision as of now, but the game is getting bet really well."

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: LSU opened -17 at William Hill US, dropped to -16 today and is now at -15. "On straight bets, we're high on Mississippi State, but on everything else, we're high on LSU," director of trading Nick Bogdanovich said, alluding to parlays, teasers and moneyline parlays running to the Tigers.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: This matchup looks a little like the Kansas State-Oklahoma contest, with the favorite landing the bulk of spread tickets, but the 'dog getting more cash at DraftKings. Seventy percent of bets are on LSU, but 61 percent of the money is on Mississippi State. The Tigers opened -19.5 and are down to -16.5.

UPDATE 1 A.M. ET THURSDAY: Louisiana State dipped from -18.5 to -16.5 at FanDuel, but point-spread bettors are flocking to the defending national champion Tigers, who are getting 84 percent of bets and 82 percent of money.

---

The line went down and the total went up Monday at PointsBet USA, with LSU dropping to -16.5 and the total surging to 57.5. "We saw some action on the Over," Eichner said.

Opening line

Texas A&M -29, Over/Under 48

Why the line moved

UPDATE 5:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Texas A&M was at -30.5 this morning at FanDuel and moved to -31.5, but the majority of spread action is on the big 'dog Vanderbilt. The Commodores are landing 62 percent of bets and 57 percent of money.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Aggies opened -30.5 at DraftKings, spent a couple of days at -29.5, then returned to the opener Tuesday. Vanderbilt actually leads the ticket count, getting 56 percent of bets, but Texas A&M is taking 65 percent of the money. The total plunged from 50 to 45.5 early in the week, but bettors have been on the Over since then, to the tune of 91 percent of tickets and 84 percent of cash.

UPDATE 4:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Texas A&M moved from 29.5 to 30.5 today at FanDuel, but early bettors seem to think that's too many points to give, with Vanderbilt garnering 83 percent of tickets and 73 percent of money.

---

Between the market and perhaps some A&M support, the Aggies were up 1.5 points to -30.5 at PointsBet USA on Monday. The total moved up a notch to 48.5.

Opening line

Auburn -8, Over/Under 47.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 11:45 A.M. ET SATURDAY: Auburn is down to -5.5 today at FanDuel, after opening -7.5. Point-spread ticket count and money favor the Tigers, at 58 percent and 56 percent respectively. But bettors are taking Kentucky moneyline, with 69 percent of bets and 63 percent of cash on the Wildcats to win outright.

UPDATE 10 A.M. ET SATURDAY: Auburn dipped from -7.5 to -6.5 at William Hill US. "Dead-even two-way action," Bogdanovich said. "But we'll probably need the 'dog for teasers and moneyline parlays."

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Auburn dropped from -8 to -7 at DraftKings, where 60 percent of spread tickets are on the Tigers, but the visiting Wildcats are landing 68 percent of the cash.

UPDATE 1 A.M. ET THURSDAY: Auburn has spent virtually all week at -7.5 at FanDuel, save for a couple of hours Monday at -6.5. Early action actually leans to underdog Kentucky, which is getting 55 percent of tickets and 69 percent of money. The total went from 48.5 to 50.5, then dipped to 49.5, and the Under is the popular play, taking 86 percent of tickets and 68 percent of dollars.

---

This line bounced around a bit Monday at PointsBet USA, first dropping a full point to Auburn -7, then ticking up to -7.5. The total briefly went to 48 before moving back to 47.5.

Opening line

Cincinnati -11.5, Over/Under 46

Why the line moved

UPDATE 3:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: The SuperBook opened Cincinnati -14, and the line is now down to -12.5. "All of the sharp action has been on Army," Osterman said, noting most of that professional play was at +14, and the public followed on the Black Knights. "Cincinnati could end up being one of our biggest decisions, if the betting continues this way."

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Cincinnati went from -14 to -15 early at BetMGM in Nevada, but the line has been on the decline since and is now at Bearcats -12.5. "We are a loser to Army," BetMGM's Scott Shelton said. "Tickets and money are 2/1 on Army." Nick Bogdanovich, director of trading at William Hill US, said the Black Knights sawy sharp play at +14.5 and +14.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Bearcats opened -11.5 at DraftKings and surged to -15 Monday, then fell back to -13.5 by Thursday. As those moves suggest, it's two-way action, with 59 percent of bets and 51 percent of money on the visiting Black Knights.

UPDATE 4:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: This line has had a wild ride at FanDuel this week, opening Cincinnati -13.5, dropping to -11.5, then surging all the way to -16.5 just by Monday morning. The line returned to Bearcats -13.5 Tuesday and stuck there. Point-spread tickets and money are running about 2/1 on Army, and the Black Knights are also a popular moneyline play, getting 84 percent of tickets/95 percent of dollars to pull the upset. The total went from 45.5 to 47.5, then peeled back to 44.5 Wednesday, and although ticket count is dead even, 75 percent of money is on the Under.

---

This line was off to the races Monday at PointsBet USA. "We got hit with quick sharp money. The line has gotten as high as -15," Eichner said in describing early play on Cincinnati, which fell back to -14 Monday evening. The total dipped to 45 Monday, then went back to 46.
