My Roughriders vs. Lions predictions are betting on a shootout between BC quarterback Nathan Rourke and Riders signal-caller Trevor Harris. Here are my best free CFL picks for this West Division clash on July 19.

My Roughriders vs Lions pick: Over 52.5 (-115 at BET99)
The Saskatchewan Roughriders and BC Lions combined for 55 points when they faced off in Week 4 despite both sides playing backup quarterbacks. The Riders had just 170 passing yards in that contest, while BC threw for only 202 yards (with three picks) despite playing with a negative game script.
However, both teams had their starting QBs return last week. Lions superstar Nathan Rourke has thrown for 320+ yards in three of four starts. He came back from a two-game stint on the IL to throw for 345 yards last week while leading the Leos to a 32-14 win.
Meanwhile, Riders signal-caller Trevor Harris is second in the CFL in pass efficiency (112.7) and average yards per pass attempt (9.9). He returned from a head injury to rack up 425 yards through the air last week.
It also helps that Riders wideout Samuel Emilus returns to action this week after missing the last three games. The National WR is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and racked up 133 yards in Week 1 before getting hurt the following week.
Saskatchewan's defense is second-last in the CFL in passing yards allowed per game (327.6), while the Leos are second-last in rushing yards allowed per game (124.7).
And while the Leos have strong pass defense stats, those numbers might be fool's gold. Two of their six games came against Edmonton's anemic aerial attack, while three others came against teams led by backup QBs.
I'm expecting fireworks in this rematch.

Lions moneyline
The Leos are looking for their third-straight win, and they are returning to BC Place for their first home game in nearly a month. This is a revenge spot for BC after getting hammered in Regina in Week 4. Leos QB Jeremiah Masoli had three picks in that game, and I'm expecting a much better performance from Rourke.
With Rourke hitting his stride and running back James Butler leading the league in rushing yards, BC will be able to put up points.
On the other side of the ball, the strength of the Leos is their defensive front anchored by Mathieu Betts and Kemeko Turay. They should bring the heat against an injury-riddled Riders offensive line. That will help them get the stops they need to pick up a win at home.
