Q&A with Carson
What drove your passion for sports betting?
My father is the main influence on my career. While growing up, we bonded over a mutual love of sports. Whether it was watching every Boston Bruins game or playing intense matches of badminton against each other, sports is what brought us together. Fast-forward to when I got older, and though we've both long retired from playing, sports betting is what continues to drive that strong bond. We talk constantly about our best NFL bets on Sunday mornings, look at futures odds to see who we should tail during tennis majors, and argue which Blue Jays player is a lock to hit a home run; sports and betting has - and always will - be a major component of our lives.
Did you play sports growing up?
Of course. Growing up in a small town, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to play on a variety of sports teams during high school. While my favourites were badminton and football, I also played hockey, basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis, rugby, and ran both cross country and track and field.
What do you look for in a sportsbook?
I want my sportsbooks to be easy to use. There's nothing worse than scrolling aimlessly around a platform, unable to find a specific component because of a bad interface or messy navigation, and missing out on a potential winning wager. If you can't find everything you're looking for on one sportsbook within a few swipes or taps, I suggest betting with a different operator.
What's your best advice for sports bettors?
I suggest that before placing any bet, no matter its monetary value, to put in the time researching it.
