Lionel Messi has scored in every game thus far, and there's no reason to stop backing him against Egypt.

Lionel Messi has already scored seven goals in the tournament and is pushing for more, with Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé matching his tally at this World Cup.

Two of soccer's biggest stars meet in Atlanta in a much-anticipated clash. I believe there's a good chance both Messi and Egypt's Mohamed Salah will have an impact on the scoreline.

Kalshi is one of our top prediction market apps, and they’re offering strong returns on their goal scoring market for these players. But there are a few other names that you should be keeping an eye on as well.

Here are my favorite Argentina vs Egypt predictions and World Cup picks broken down into two favorites, two values, and two sleepers.

My Argentina vs Egypt goal scorer predictions: Favorites

Lionel Messi, Argentina

Kalshi probability: 64%

Lionel Messi scored in his last five official appearances for Argentina. He's the best player of his era and an undoubted all-time great, but his stats at this World Cup are better than everyone expected. He's highly motivated to help Argentina retain the World Cup they won four years ago, and his seven goals have been crucial to their run.

More than the goals, it's his constant involvement that stands out. In three of his last four games, he recorded at least four shots. Argentina's appetite for goals also helps. They have scored at least three goals in three of their last four games, so Messi is well positioned to make his mark once more.

Mohamad Saleh, Egypt

Kalshi probability: 18%

Mohamed Salah had at least one shot on target in four of his last five appearances for Egypt. The Pharaohs' iconic captain scored once at this World Cup so far. Most of Egypt's attacks go through him, and he's the player his teammates, coaching staff, and fans trust the most.

Salah might be 34, but he comes after a season with 12 goals and 11 assists across 41 games in all competitions for Liverpool. He's the most decisive player Hossam Hassan has at his disposal.

My Argentina vs Egypt goal scorer predictions: Values

Lautaro Martínez, Argentina

Kalshi probability: 41%

Lautaro Martínez started in all four games Argentina has played at the World Cup so far. His partnership with Messi up front has worked brilliantly, even though his numbers are not even close to those Leo has reached since the start of the tournament.

He's hit the net just once, but don't let that fool you. He's in fine form, having finished the season at Inter with 22 goals and six assists across 41 games, also captaining a side that has won the Italian league title with ease.

Omar Marmoush, Egypt

Kalshi probability: 16%

Manchester City's Marmoush is a key member of Egypt's attack. Despite not managing to score at this World Cup, he's been one of Egypt's biggest attacking threats. He started three games and was only rested against Iran, but eventually came on at halftime, showing the manager's faith in his ability to decide a match.

He attempted no fewer than 11 shots across his four appearances and can always punish sloppy defending.

My Argentina vs Egypt goal scorer predictions: Sleepers

Enzo Fernández, Argentina

Kalshi probability: 19%

Enzo Fernández offers a real attacking threat, despite goal-scoring not being his primary responsibility. He scored 15 times this season for Chelsea. In the national team, he netted six times in 45 games, which shows his willingness to get forward.

He likes to progress with the ball, to shoot from outside the box and, sometimes, even create overloads inside the penalty area thanks to his mobility.

Alexis Mac Allister, Argentina

Kalshi probability: 15%

Also a central midfielder, like Enzo Fernández, Alexis Mac Allister can be considered almost as much of a threat in front of goal as the Chelsea midfielder. Mac Allister has fewer goals this season, five, but his contribution to Liverpool has been important in their attacking game.

Alexis also has six goals for the national team in 50 games, making him a key contributor for Scaloni's side. Considering the attractive +567 odds, it could be a worthwhile long shot for bettors looking down the board.
