My Valkyries vs Sky best bet: Rachel Banham Over 11.5 points (-115 at BetMGM)
It’s been a rough season for the Chicago Sky, and things are unlikely to get better tonight without Ariel Atkins and Angel Reese. Hailey Van Lith is also a game-time decision.
But someone must score some points for the Sky, and for me, that person is Rachel Banham.
In their last matchup with the Golden State Valkyries, the Sky had all three of those above players, and Banham still played 25 minutes and racked up 11 points on eight shot attempts. In each of the last three games, Banham has played at least 29 minutes, attempted at least 11 shots, and scored at least 13 points.
The Valkyries have one of the better defenses in the WNBA, but they do allow a ton of threes. They rank 11th in made threes allowed and last in 3-point attempts allowed. Banham has attempted at least eight threes in each of her last three games and shoots 38.9% from deep on the season.
Regardless of whether this game stays close or is a complete blowout in favor of the Valkyries, Banham is going to get her shots up and will have plenty of opportunities to reach this low number.

To go with my best bet, I am going to hit the Over on the game total and Valkyries moneyline.
The total was lowered a little too much from the last matchup just because some key scorers are out. The defense for the Sky will still be very bad.
Finally, I will add Kamilla Cardoso to reach double-digit rebounds without Reese in the lineup. Reese had 18 rebounds in the last matchup with Golden State.
