Despite being eliminated from playoff contention, the Connecticut Sun have shown some fight in the final weeks of the WNBA season. They’ll look to stay hot when they visit the shorthanded New York Liberty at Barclays Center tonight.
My WNBA player props for Sun vs. Liberty expect the visiting team to cover a large spread thanks to productive showings from Tina Charles and Marina Mabrey.

My Sun vs Liberty best bet: Sun +11.5 (-110 at Caesars)
Don’t look now, but the Connecticut Sun have won three straight and four of their last five games. Connecticut has covered in five consecutive contests, and they’ll look to carry that momentum in Monday’s matchup with the injury-plagued New York Liberty.
New York is 22-15 straight up but just 13-22-2 ATS, and the Liberty are just 2-8 ATS across their last 10. Breanna Stewart is questionable to return after 13 games on the sideline, but it’s unclear if she’ll face a minutes restriction in her first game back.
The Liberty also lists Sabrina Ionescu as questionable with a foot injury after she sat out New York’s last game. Natasha Cloud is questionable with a nose injury, Isabelle Harrison is questionable due to a concussion, and Nyara Sabally is out.
Connecticut’s last four wins have come against the Sky and the Mystics, but New York has not been a challenging opponent as of late. Multiple key injuries for the Liberty should keep this one competitive.
The Sun have won just nine games this season, but they’re 20-16 ATS and have covered in seven of their last 10. Connecticut is 2-1 ATS against New York in 2025. Spotting them 12 points here is far too much, and I’ll take them to cover tonight.

Marina Mabrey Over 26.5 points + rebounds + assists
Tina Charles has been phenomenal this season, and the veteran has hit the Over on this combo line in two straight and three of her last four. Over her previous nine, Charles has averaged 25.5 PRA and gone for at least 27 six times. She hit the Over in her last matchup with the Liberty, and I expect her to do so again tonight as the Sun keep this competitive on the road.
Like Charles, Marina Mabrey has been productive as of late. She’s hit the Over on this line in just 10 of 26 games on the season, but four of those have come across her last eight. Mabrey finished with at least 27 PRA in one of her previous two matchups with the Liberty and three of her last five games on the road.
I’m betting on another productive night against the shorthanded Liberty.
