A pair of struggling teams meet tonight as the Seattle Storm head to The Windy City to face the Chicago Sky at Wintrust Arena.

Nneka Ogwumike has been dominating on the boards lately, and my Storm vs Sky predictions expect her to continue that trend tonight.

Read more in my WNBA picks for Tuesday, August 19.

Storm vs Sky predictions

My Storm vs Sky best bet: Nneka Ogwumike Over 7.5 rebounds (-105 at DraftKings)

The Seattle Storm may be having a poor season with a 17-18 record, but Nneka Ogwumike is certainly doing her part overall. The veteran is averaging 18.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per night.

Ogwumike has made her presence felt on the glass as of late, cashing the Over in boards in five consecutive appearances. Ogwumike even had 10 boards during this span last week against the Los Angeles Sparks.

Rebounding is one of the Chicago Sky's lone strong suits, but Ogwumike is playing physical basketball at the moment and thriving on the glass. Angel Reese is also questionable, so her absence would give us a big boost.

Ogwumike will keep it rolling as the Storm look to get back in the win column.

Storm vs Sky same-game parlay (SGP)

Nneka Ogwumike Over 7.5 rebounds

Skylar Diggins 2+ threes

Storm -11

Skylar Diggins has drained at least two triples in two of her last four contests. The Sky struggles to defend the three, with opponents shooting nearly 37% from long range, converting 9.6 triples per game. The last time Diggins faced Chicago, she was 3-for-6 from beyond the arc.

An 11-point spread is very large, but there’s reason to believe Seattle will cover it. Chicago has an 8-25 record and has gone 1-9 in its last 10 games. The Sky have also lost four in a row, and three of those defeats were by at least 21 points.

The Storm have won back-to-back meetings with Chicago, notching 84-71 and 95-57 victories, with the latter coming last month on this same floor. Another lopsided win is very much possible for the visitors.
