The Minnesota Lynx have been rocking and rolling so far this season, and with Napheesa Collier being a game-time decision, the Los Angeles Sparks are hoping to finally have a fighting chance against one of the league's hottest teams.
But depth is the name of the game for the home team, and that's the biggest factor in my Sparks vs. Lynx predictions, as Minnesota can overcome the absence of its leading scorer if her back injury sidelines her for tonight's matchup.

My Sparks vs Lynx best bet: Lynx -9.5 (-110 at BetMGM)
For starters, I'm pretty sure the Los Angeles Sparks hate to see the Minnesota Lynx coming, and to their defense, the rest of the league probably feels the same way.
The 11-1 Lynx have steamrolled the Sparks in both of their first two matchups of the season, which were both decided by double-digit deficits. As their third face-off tips off tonight, the home team may be without Napheesa Collier, who is nursing a back injury.
An injury that led to her early exit in a victory over the Las Vegas Aces — plus a ticket to the Commissioner's Cup championship game — where Collier was only able to register seven points in 19 minutes.
Good news for the Sparks is they get Kelsey Plum back into the fold to relieve some of the stress they'll be facing in Minnesota. The veteran guard posted 20 points on a woeful 5-for-16 shooting night the last time that these teams met.
Something Plum would surely like to flush in another round against the Lynx with a more efficient performance to keep the Sparks in the game as much as possible, especially if Collier happens to be ruled out.
But the facts are just the facts and one of the reasons why the Lynx are damn near unbeatable is because of how loaded their roster is.
From the return of Kayla McBride in recent weeks, the suffocating defense of Courtney Williams, to even the resurgence of Diamond Miller off the bench — who cashed in 12 points in 14 minutes over the Aces on Tuesday — the Lynx are never lacking.
So, despite whether or not Collier will be playing or limited in her availability, the Lynx have enough depth not to be worried, and this is where I lay the points with the home team to go 3-0 against a Sparks team that doesn't quite have enough in the tank to keep up with Minnesota.

Kelsey Plum has to have a solid night — not even a big one — to give the Sparks some hope in this one, especially if they face a Collier-less Lynx team.
In their first two matchups, Plum put down 18 and 20 points, respectively. Both came at very subpar performances, but we're not here to knock the field goal percentages. We're here to discuss her hitting a very feasible points prop mark this evening.
Plum is more than capable of hitting a higher Over, but not against a defense like Minnesota's, which is why we're playing it low. Quality production is expected from Plum, and even in her first game back, we'll take it easy and go for the Over on her 18 points prop.
Each contest between these two teams has been fairly high scoring, especially from Minnesota's end. I don't see that changing for this one, as their May 18 matchup saw a combined total of 164 points and 179 in last week's meet.
All signs point to this trend carrying on tonight for the Over to flourish once again.
