The top-seeded Minnesota Lynx are slumping — for their standards.

They are in danger of suffering back-to-back losses for the second time this month as they visit the suddenly frisky Connecticut Sun.

Our Lynx vs. Sun WNBA picks have Connecticut feeling the level-up in competition here, with a blowout on the horizon.

Lynx vs Sun predictions

My Lynx vs Sun best betLynx -13 (-115 at bet365)

There's no danger of the Minnesota Lynx dropping out of the 1-seed – they've been that good this year.

Their primary concern is getting Napheesa Collier – who was having an MVP-level season before suffering an ankle injury – back up to speed.

It's been up and down in the three games since she's returned: Collier struggled last time out in a 93-79 loss to the Seattle Storm, shooting 7-for-23 from the field, finishing with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Saturday provides a great opportunity to get right, facing a Connecticut Sun team that Minnesota dismantled on June 29, 102-63.

To the Sun's credit, a team playing extended garbage time for a few months now, they've shown no quit, winning five of their last seven, including a 101-95 win in Dallas' previous game.

However, Connecticut's wins have all come against teams outside of the playoff picture. Their losses came against playoff-bound Indiana and New York.

The Lynx are the league's top-scoring team and boast the best scoring defense. The Sun is going to feel that in a game, the Lynx need to get back into championship-hungry mode.

Lynx vs Sun same-game parlay (SGP)

Minnesota Lynx -13.5

Napheesa Collier Over 22.5 points

Kayla McBride Over 2.5 made threes

Forget about Collier's recent up-and-down play. She's done a number on the Sun in two previous meetings, scoring 23 on 9-for-14 shooting on June 29, and 33 on 11-for-21 shooting on May 23.

She should pick apart the Sun's bottom-4 scoring defense for a big afternoon Saturday.

And let's ride the hot shooting of Lynx guard Kayla McBride. She's got a 2.5 make line from 3-point range, a figure she's crossed in four straight games.

She rang up a 5-for-9 night from deep in her only meeting vs Connecticut this season.
