Arike Ogunbowale has provided an early-season reminder that she's a proven WNBA bucket-getter, and Tom Oldfield expects more of the same tonight as part of his top WNBA player prop picks..

With a buzzer-beater to sink the New York Liberty, the Portland Fire couldn’t have asked for a more dramatic first franchise win this week – but the Liberty are back for revenge as part of tonight’s WNBA double-header.

That late tip follows a clash between the Minnesota Lynx and Dallas Wings, and my WNBA player props include a wager on Arike Ogunbowale, who’s off to a productive start this season on an intriguing Dallas squad.

Read on for my top WNBA props for May 14.

Arike Ogunbowale Over 17.5 points (-125)

Fresh off signing a new two-year contract to stay with the Dallas Wings, Arike Ogunbowale is keeping up her end of the deal, and I expect her to pace this Wings offense again tonight against the Minnesota Lynx.

Ogunbowale has gone past this O/U number in both contests so far this season, while shooting 50% from the field, and she led the way in Tuesday’s loss to the Atlanta Dream, pouring in 20 points.

Without Napheesa Collier to anchor the defense, Minnesota is vulnerable at that end of the floor, so look for Ogunbowale to record a third straight outing with 15+ shots.

Natasha Howard Over 7.5 rebounds (-120)

Natasha Howard’s numbers in the season opener were pedestrian by her standards, but she looked more like her usual self in Tuesday’s win in Phoenix, grabbing 11 rebounds to go with 14 points. That’s the kind of production that made her a target for the Minnesota Lynx this offseason.

Until Collier returns, Howard has an even larger role to play on the glass, and I expect her to be active in small-ball Minnesota lineups.

Howard will have ample opportunities to cash the Over here against a Wings team that lost the rebounding battle 44-34 in a midweek loss to the Dream.

Marine Johannes Over 19.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120)

It’s all hands on deck for the depleted New York Liberty, and Marine Johannes is making the most of extended playing time with Sabrina Ionescu, Satou Sabally and Leonie Fiebich still sidelined.

Johannes has breezed past this combo O/U target in all three games this season, while averaging 20.0 PPG, 3.3 RPG and 3.0 APG. Even a slight dip in those stats will keep her in range of the Over tonight against the Portland Fire.

The fifth-year guard ended up with a 18-4-4 line in Tuesday’s loss, and she’s a red-hot 14-for-29 from beyond the arc through the first week of action.
