Howard's prediction: Brady bounces back.

Two welterweights coming off high-profile losses clash in a critical bout to preserve their faint title hopes, with Sean Brady facing off against Joaquin Buckley on the UFC 328 undercard.

Although Brady was initially listed as the UFC odds favorite at -170, odds have swung dramatically in Buckley’s direction, pegging him at -240 a few hours out from tonight’s event.

Regardless, my Brady vs. Buckley predictions and free betting picks believe the original betting chalk still has the style and better positioning to get back in the winner's circle.

Brady might have been knocked out by a potential future champion in Michael Morales in his last fight, but Buckley found himself shut down by an aged Kamaru Usman’s wrestling in an equally lopsided loss.

While Brady’s chin is questionable, considering he’s coming off a knockout loss and was previously knocked out by Belal Muhammad, Buckley won’t be able to defend the wrestling long enough to land such a shot.

*Pick was originally made on Thursday, May 7*

We’ve seen Buckley look dynamic and explosive against strikers, but his offense isn’t as effective when he faces grapplers who can close the distance and crowd him.

Brady has more in the tank than Usman or Covington at this stage of his career, and both of them had success getting Buckley on the ground and keeping him there.

He might have some risky moments early on, but my best bet is that Brady racks up enough control time to win a decision.

Covers COVERS INTEL: In his previous bouts against Usman and Colby Covington, Buckley has given up more than 15 minutes of control time.
