Wimbledon Day 8 predictions

Iga Swiatek -4.5 games (-115 at DraftKings)

Former No. 1 Iga Swiatek is beginning to get comfortable on grass, and that’s bad news for No. 23 seed Clara Tauson.

Swiatek has dropped one set heading into this match. Her movement and return of serve set her apart from Tauson; she’s also fired serves reaching 118mph, and that gives her an extra advantage over the 23rd seed.

Both previous meetings were one-sided in Swiatek's favor. This is the latest stage Tauson has ever reached at a Grand Slam, and I’m backing the more experienced player to roll.

Jannik Sinner/Grigor Dimitrov Under 31.5 games (-110 at FanDuel)

No. 1 Jannik Sinner has dominated the field without dropping serve or a set. His suffocating style of play should be too much for 2014 semifinalist Grigor Dimitrov to deal with.

Sinner’s big targets and ability to construct points with extreme power from both wings are why he’s won four straight matches against the Bulgarian, with a 4-1 lifetime record against Dimitrov.

Dimitrov has spent nearly eight hours on court to reach this stage. He’s also retired from matches five times across the past 52 weeks. Sinner has too much for Dimitrov, making this Under the best play on the board.

Novak Djokovic to win 3-0 (+115 at FanDuel)

Seven-time champion Novak Djokovic has lost fewer than three games in nine of 10 sets here, and I expect Joker to roll to victory over No. 11 Alex de Minaur.

The Aussies’ serve has been broken four times with 16 conceded break points during this event. His below-average service game is primarily responsible for his dismal 2-12 mark against Top-10 foes, and it's also why he's 1-2 against Djokovic in his career.

Djokovic has been broken once. He’s won 89% of his career service games on grass and has lost twice on Centre Court since 2017. He’s 2-1 against de Minaur and should tune him up in straight sets on Monday.
