The Canadiens being held to just 18 shots on home ice in Game 4 is bulletin-board material if you ask me, so I’m fully expecting a heightened emphasis from the Habs to shoot more tonight. Especially considering Montreal has attempted the fewest shots per 60 minutes at five-on-five this postseason. So, while we haven’t seen the best from TVasilevskiy yet, he sports a .917 save percentage across 124 postseason games and won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2021.

Hutson has two goals in four games this series, including that unforgettable overtime winner in Game 3. He rang one off the iron in the dying seconds of Game 2 and has played upwards of 26 minutes in all four games. He's a constant threat, and he hardly leaves the ice.

This low-scoring series hasn’t been kind to goalscorers, so I’m eyeing Dvorak at a long price because he’s pacing Philly forwards in ice time and has recorded a respectable 1.49 expected goals and eight high-danger scoring chances without finding the back of the net in the series.

Sergachev is living on the ice with a series-high 104:27 logged, and he’s second on the club in attempts with 22. So, when I saw that the Russian blueliner has only converted three of his attempts into shots (13.6%), this was an easy click. Sergachev recorded two or more shots in 47 of his 78 regular-season games, while converting his attempts into shots at a 43.3% rate. Statistical correction kicks in tonight.

Pavel Dorofeyev’s shot volume has steadily risen throughout the series. He attempted only three shots in Game 1 but responded by clearing his line in three consecutive games.

His highest output came in Game 4, with Dorofeyev generating seven attempts, four shots, and scoring a goal. That spike coincided with a promotion to the top line, riding shotgun with an elite player in Jack Eichel.

He should have confidence after finding the back of the net, and the circumstances are favorable as well. 

Dorofeyev has cleared 2.5 shots in 74% of his home games following one day of rest this season.

Bourque leads all Stars forwards in scoring chances, high-danger chances, expected goals, and – get this – time on ice at 5-on-5. The youngster has threatened consistently but is yet to be rewarded. There’s value in backing that to change at a near +400 price point.

Wyatt Johnston has had a strong shooting series, recording at least three shots in the first four games. Encouragingly, he still generated nine shot attempts when he fell short of this line in Game 5.

He is generating plenty of looks and a lot of them come from near the paint, making it easier to hit the net. 

Missing the net all nine times in Game 5 was a clear outlier. The volume is the most important signal, and it was strong.

With the Stars playing for their season, expect Johnston to pile up the shots.
