We’ve had confirmation from Andy Reid that we will see Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs starters playing in the first quarter. It goes without saying that with Mahomes on the field this team will be dangerous, but even once he’s removed, we should see a strong Chiefs performance. Behind Mahomes on the depth chart are Gardner Minshew and Bailey Zappe. Minshew is an established NFL vet and a very capable backup. He's got 46 starts to his name and 17 victories, which isn’t bad given the caliber of teams he’s played for. Meanwhile Zappe has a reasonable 4-5 record in his nine starts.
