The Big 12 Conference's top running back will faces the league's top run defense when Texas visits Kansas State on Saturday. Longhorns junior D'Onta Foreman is ranked second nationally with 146.2 yards and has scored at least one touchdown in each of his past seven games.

"He is a very powerful runner ... but can bounce the ball out as well and has got speed to go along with it," Kansas State coach Bill Snyder said of Foreman during Tuesday's press conference. "There has been a great deal of consistency, and he is durable. They give it to him a ton of times and he still comes back for more." The Wildcats will try to stop Foreman and a Texas offense that has recorded four 500-yard games this season. Kansas State leads the Big 12 - and is ranked fourth nationally - in run defense (90.3 yards), and it is second in the league in total defense (343.5) despite allowing 510 yards to Oklahoma in a 38-17 loss last week. The Wildcats have won five straight at home while Texas is looking for its first road victory of the season and first win at Kansas State since 2002.

ABOUT TEXAS (3-3, 1-2 Big 12): Freshman quarterback Shane Buechele has thrown for 1,500 yards and 13 touchdowns to lead the balanced Longhorns attack. Freshman receiver Devin Duvernay has stood out in the past two games, recording seven catches for 177 yards, including 63- and 75-yard TD receptions. The much-maligned Texas defense (34 points, 444.3 total yards) recorded eight sacks, 14 tackles for loss and an interception against Iowa State as the Longhorns snapped a three-game skid with a 27-6 win last weekend.

ABOUT KANSAS STATE (3-3, 1-2): Snyder expects quarterback Jesse Ertz (756 yards, five TDs, two INTs) to play Saturday after missing the second half of the Oklahoma game with a shoulder injury. The Wildcats' top three backs - Charles Jones, Ertz and Dalvin Warmack - are each averaging at least five yards per carry. Elijah Lee leads the tough defense with 51 tackles while Jordan Willis has a league-high six sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss.

1. Foreman's streak of seven straight 100-yard rushing games leads the FBS and is second in school history behind Earl Campbell's 11 in 1977.

2. Kansas State is perfect in its 28 red-zone attempts this year and has scored in its last 53 red-zone attempts dating back to last year - the longest active streak in FBS.

3. Texas QB Tyrone Swoopes needs 84 rushing yards to become the third Longhorns quarterback (joining Colt McCoy and Vince Young) with 3,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in his career.
